You may or may not have a horse in the race, but this year's semi's are a bit different from the previous years , no? I mean, there is a clear distinction between the two of the old guard, and two of the next generation.

Would you rather see the old faithful duke it out one more time, maybe one LAST time, depending on how Roger does from here on? Or have you had enough of that and you would rather have Grigor and Milos go at it, the fresh faces we all have been waiting for for years.

Or maybe you'd like to have one of each generation go at it, a Nole-Milos or a Roger-Grigor match?

Is it important that we have at least one of the younger guys in the final? Or you think they will have their chance in the future and that they have already proved they will be a threat by making it this far and now it is time for the big boys (old boys) to take it from here?

What's your ideal final?

Raonic-Dimi.

Just for the sake of change, but I think from a tennis perspective, Djoker-Fed could be a barn-burner. But the novelty of having the youngsters duke it out would be healthy for tennis, and encouragement for the future...

Call me boring, but I want to see Federer/Djokovic. Their match-ups are so much fun to watch and they usually always bring out the best in each other. Also, I'd love to see Federer win his 18th GS against Nole or even see Djokovic win his first major in over a year. Then again, I'd perfectly be happy seeing someone like Dimitrov make the final. Raonic, as much as he has improved, really doesn't interest me all that much. I'm just not too big on his playing style. Dimitrov vs. Federer would be nice, for sure.

Roger and anyone but I bet you figured that :) Both would be intriguing finals. Despite Nole's problems in finals and the fact I think Roger can and probably should beat him on this surface I do think Dimitrov would prove significantly easier. And Roger-Dimitrov would be exciting due to the comparisons and the fact that Dimi is likely the next big time player.

Djokovic v. Dimitrov, but the damn draw put them on the same side, so my final is tomorrow. After that, Djokovic taking down the old goat would be my 2nd choice. :)

Well Roger and Grigor are my two favorite players, so that would be my top choice. I'd want Roger to win it to get one more in, but wouldn't be too upset to see Grigor take it. There would be a certain poetic harmony to the 2001 Wimbledon when Roger beat Sampras.

Part of me wants to see Milos and Grigor so that one of the younger generation wins it, but I want Roger to get #18 because I think this is the best chance he's ever going to have, with Andy and Rafa out.

^ Ditto the first paragraph.

I don't want Milos in the final though - really not the type of player I enjoy watching at all.

Not much of a surprise that I want to see Fed in the final. Milos does not get my juices flowing watching him play at all. I'm actually torn as to who I would want to see Fed play in the final. Nole provides the kind of contast & style of play that makes it epic. Their head to head matches are compelling, intriguing, & brilliant. If Fed plays Dimi then it's like watching a "looking glass" from the current to the future. Nothing wrong with that. I just want Fed to get #18. Bring it home Roger!

Becker v Edberg would be a curious subtext to a Djoker-Federer final. The camera would linger on those boys more than anyone else, between points. The commentators would take the cheap route and compare the players volleys, in order to chastise their coaches.

It would be the 4th Becker-Edberg final - the one we thought we'd get in 1991 and maybe 1993...

In a similar vein, I liked that Riccardo Piatti tweeted the other day about how, after 20 years, he and Ivan Ljubicic finally reached the last 4 of Wimbledon together.

A lot of coaching subtext at the top of the game currently. Too bad Ivan Lendl isn't still around to join in.

Federer v Djokovic but Fed v Dimitrov would be great too. Can't imagine why anyone would claim otherwise other than Fed hatred. Who wants to watch a serve bot in a final?!

Roger vs Dimitrov. I am curious to see the single handed backhand battles.

That's actually an excellent side bar to all of this...Can I just say that age & time has done more for Edberg..Lol

Makes no difference to me. Either one will have earned their spot whoever it is. :approved:

True, but it's done more to Boris, so they're both getting more as they age... :snigger
