You have your own definition of capitalism and Britannica doesn’t. Britannica is an encyclopaedia and you know what encyclopaedias do. There is a consensus among scholars what is the definition and it’s different to yours.

Here is the thing Obsi - I'm not disputing the Britannica Encylopedia's definition of Capitalism. After all, they should know... they've nearly gone bust on numerous occasions and dishonoured pension agreements with their own workers.

Now here is the thing with capitalism... it's inextricably linked with the free market. Market forces determine how you do... supply and demand, market forces etc....

Now the socialist perversion to this is that a lot of these organisations would have failed without government intervention... using taxpayers money to prop them up. That doesn't fit with the free market. Market forces actually determined that these were failed businesses.

So, in the UK for instance, some of the banks were bailed out and re-nationalised. They were re-nationalised with taxpayers money. Nekro said a bailout isn't any mark of a socialist policy... nationalising business actually is... The UK Government is the biggest shareholder in some of the UK banks now - such as the Royal Bank of Scotland and it was based on the "we're all in this together" mantra.

Nobody is arguing that this is socialism... just a socialist perversion on capitalism to rescue those who fucked up through outright greed.

Most market techies, and I'm one of them, have been following the bull trend from its origins in March 2009 and the general view has been the end should happen any time from Q4 2017 to Q1 2019. Why the large range? Because from a technical perspective (using Elliott Wave Theory in my case) you have to constantly refine your analysis based on the shorter term dynamics. I can't wait to see how Trump spins that one. It's going to happen on his watch
