And right on cue (re: thousands dying every day) an 18 months old Palestinian baby was BURNED ALIVE by four Israelis.

What a crappy world we live in.

I saw only today on the websites here in USA that the Israelis arrested a Jewist extremist/terrorist who is part of a group that wishes to attack Palestinians and Christians in the West Bank and elsewhere. It is a crappy world in some parts, that is for sure. I have not seen anything more about the terrorists known as Boko Haram who slit the throats of the ten fisherman on Lake Chad right around the same time.

These "village councils" are not part of the official judicial system in India. They are unofficial and unelected, but have real power (grabbed by themselves) and control society and life in small rural villages. It is terrible that this is still happening in this day and age.

This isn't strictly true: it's just that it would be more locally known, but it would still be international news. Remember when Boko Harum kidnapped the school kids? That it was westerners targeted means that it's bigger news in the west than it would have been. It's part of a larger pattern of attacks on the west, so this is natural. It's no more or less tragic, though, that the west is the target, again...

And what happened when Boko Haram kidnapped them? Did you saw lighten up buildings and monuments? Did you saw UN making urgent meetings? It was on the mass media news for couple of days and that was it ;(
