Like nehmeth said, I like the fact that Wawrinka won a slam.
Also I like that there is a new element of unknown for the players ranked 3-8, it will be fascinating to watch who will prevail in the race of that group

Due to the fluidity of spots 3-8 (there is only about 1500 or so separating 3 from 8,
the two swiss guys), there will be lot of changes during the course of the year in these
spots. This will have interesting efffect of giving us strange potential QF matches
if the draw holds up in the Masters and GSs.

However, #9 is more than 1000 points below #8 and so it appears that no
new chap will break into top 8.

Yeah, that's a great thing for tennis. It would shake it up even more if the nest two MS events were won by non-Big 4 players. Is it too much to ask that the rest of the field bag about a third of all big titles this year? Unfortunately, the answer is yes, but a new name on a slam trophy is a positive step in the right direction. Let's hope a few more tough guys grow a pair...

2 members of this particular group announce acceptance of WC entries in events which were not initially in their calendar: Murray goes to Rotterdam (where Wawrinka pulled out) and Ferrer to Buenos Aires (replacing Nadal as the top seed).
Some $$$ might have been negotiated in both cases, I would assume

I'd hope so in the case of Ferrer or some poor linesman is gonna get throttled.
