We need to keep the topic more on the players and the tournament than on who said and how. Everyone has an opinion. Don't mock it and attack the poster. Let's talk about the tournament.

I have predicted somewhere in some thread that this is Nole's year to win Cincy. I stand by it. His draw has been not the most taxing. His semi is very winnable. Roger loves this surface and always shows up, but Murray+Nole is hard ask. In fact, it was supposed to be Rafa+Murray+Nole, which would have been an almost impossible ask. Murray looked tired in all the matches he played but he keeps winning...but he is not winning against Nole in this final. If he does, he gets the possum of the century award.

I've thought for quite a while that this Cincinnati title is probably No. 2 on Djokovic's check list. You know he wants this one badly since he has never won it and it would complete his Masters 1000 set. I think Fed wins today and goes down to Djokovic in three in the final.

Well you did see Roger finally do what I said "he had to do" yesterday against Lopez; attacked the serve relentlessly! He should have started that offense last year; might have taken 1 of those Wimbledon finals from Nole! I thought that was the reason he hired Edberg; that was his style! Roger still gets lulled into long rallies unfortunately, being rather stubborn saying to himself; "I can play toe to toe with these kids from the baseline!" :nono :cover  :dodgy:

The ball bounces quite differently from grass to hard courts though so it's a lot easier for guys to serve more aces on grass or serves that you can't get a decent return of serve on. That said, for sure he could have returned better at both Wimbledon finals.

I haven't looked, but Murray has probably secured #2 ranking unless Roger reverts back 3-5 years to actually take the title over Djokovic! :p  :dodgy:

You should look:p He only needs to revert to Dubai this year, Dubai last year and Shanghai last year. All are fast hard courts and Roger won all 3 matches.

That is so bizarre to me; Nole's quite vulnerable to the smooth stylings of Stan and Roger; even on clay, but neither of them usually have a chance against a fading Nadal! Does that make sense to anyone? On the other hand Nole's pretty much owned Rafa going back to 2011, finally taking him out of the FO early this season in straight sets! :cover :puzzled

You are a closet Nadal fan. You are obsessed with him. You can't write a post longer than 3 lines without mentioning him some how. Go ahead and embrace the Rafa. You'll be happier. ;)

You are NUTZ! I never liked Nadal; going back to when he was a spoiled, petulant child of 15! His game is ugly, his whole act was ugly from the beginning, and only lately have I even liked his clothing! What was it I said "didn't make sense?" I didn't invoke his name for nothing! DID YOU READ THE WHOLE POST? I thought it was rather informative and noteworthy! Maybe you're the closet FAN of Rafa! The other Nadal sycophants usually come back at me for trivia they don't want to hear or read! :p :nono  :dodgy:

I don't understand, why you always have to say something against us? I think we like and talk about others players more often and I don't think we are so obsessive, but whatever, to each his own theme

:lolz: lol ok, you do mention him an awful lot though. How about talking about the players that are still in it? Who was your favorite again? If it's not Nadal that is. I can't remember.

I have no true fave these days, but I give all due credit to Nole for turning it all around after being the consummate #3 for so many years! I feel he's playing the best, is a great representative for the ATP, and always says the right thing! The last time I had a true favorite was probably Borg and Edberg, but gave it up to Sampras and Federer when they came along! On the ladies' side I had more to watch with Evonne Goolagong, Martina Navratilova, then her namesake Hingis! I have some feeling for the athleticism of Henin who wore out Serena! Jankovic plays the closest to Hingis' game being a "chessboard" type, so she's one I follow! I don't watch the women much these days with all the grunting, kvetchin', and "mindless aggression!" I think I've been quite consistent! Most will tell you I haven't changed that much over the years of my opinion on the "state of the game!" :ras:  :dodgy:

Only Nadal defeaters get my notice these days; so Lopez, Verdasco, Brown, and Fognini get a candle lit for them with a subservient "bow!" lol! :p  :dodgy: :clap :lolz:
