With the USO in mind, I wouldn't mind too much if Murray goes home after today. Djokovic has never won Cincy and is really gunning for it but Murray has already won here twice. He doesn't have any more points to defend here anyways.

He needs the points to stay ahead of Roger for the #2 ranking! I haven't checked of late, but it's less than 500 points I'm sure he needs to do better than the old man or he'll be relegated to #3 and possibly hitting Nole in the semi's of the USO! :nono  :dodgy:

Not so worried about that. What happens in the USO draw, happens in the draw.
Kirijax said:Yep, miss a few chances for a 5-3 lead, and then get broken to trail 4-5. Happens so often in tennis. Gasquet serving for the set.
Kirijax said:Gasquet takes the 1st set 6-4. Kinda of a sleepy match.

Well, I was trying to be funny. There's no way that's going to happen.
Nadal can't make it that far in a tournament any more.![]()
Keep dreaming, it doesn't matter what you and others wish and say again and again. All depends on Nadal and he will make it
Today he has lost against a player who has played better than anyone else but very difficult that he could repeat it again (unfortunately)
Kirijax said:I think it's a bit of both. Lopez played well. some of those volleys and that backhand slice were incredible. But Nadal didn't play all that great either. The thing that strikes me are that his shots are so short (shorts too!). It looks like he's trying so hard to get it deep and it ain't going.
Kirijax said:After dropping the 1st, Murray now has a 3-0 lead in the second. Up a break. Following the Serena plan to success? :snicker
Carol35 said:Ok EVERYBODY, I've never said that Rafa played wonderfull, I said that I've never seen Feli playing so well, serving, hitting, on the net, running , baseline, etc etc, he did everything well. I KNOW that if Rafa would have play his best he never would have lost that match but that awful tb was his end giving more strength and confidence to his opponent who was playing superb
IF he plays so well today he will beat Federer (who is not playing his best either) but I don't think he could be able to repeat it :nono or maybe yes?![]()
