According to uncle Toni, Nadal'll play the Asian tour, Basel, Bercy and Masters....lets' see what happened, if he can really play and if he doesn"t pick up another injury before the end of season

Let's hope, Isabelle.

And although he's been able to practice everything but the backhand, we'll have to see what shape he's in for playing competitive matches. The main hope is that he can play hard and have no reprisals from the wrist...

Raise your glass to the return of tennis itself :celeb:

Since 2012 (the end of the "bandaid solutions era" according to Uncle Toni) Nadal has been completely disciplined and wisdom personified when it comes to returning from injury at exactly the right time.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wins Paris and the World Tour Finals :spacecadet:

I sure hope you bet all your money on Wafa at those events. When you go broke you won't have a computer and we will no longer be annoyed by your presence. Good early Christmas gift :)

Oh wow, I completely forgot about the whole "bandaid solution" thing that Nadal2005 used to endlessly talk about last year. Now I remember why...

That's seriously one of the most hilarious online pranks I've ever seen, can't stop laughing. Well done to Rafa for acting very well and to whoever came up with the idea. The chopper is on fire and Rafa has the nerves to tell them to take it easy with calm. :laydownlaughing :laydownlaughing

Before they got out of the chopper I kind of expected Nadal to go through his rituals, picking the butt, putting water bottles parallel to each other to his left etc. before telling them...wait a moment, you must understand this is more complex than playing my forehand to Royer's backhand. When I smell burnt metal I'll let you know early enough, trust me.

Hi, Didi! Good to see you back around. That was a good laugh.

Its amazes me how he goes from playing with his man buddy Carlos Moya during the weeks leading up to the USO, then cites that his wrist is not strong enough to hit is backhand to compete and now he is going to play singles and doubles. As Samson, aka Clay Death says so often , I am not too happy with the Clay Warrior.

^ The wrist is probably 100% healed, and because of that, he needs to make up for lost time and get in as many matches as possible to be in form for the remaining masters.
The doctor told him several weeks ago that there was no ligament damage and therefore once the wrist is healed it would not be prone to recurrence.
Now 100% injury free and 100% fresh, Nadal is in the perfect position to play maximum tennis, far more so than Federer and Djokovic.

Actually uncleToni recently said the wrist isn't fully healed yet...

I'm not sure which date Toni was referring to when he said 80%, so it could well be 100% now.
He may have even said 80% as a publicity precaution.

And what kind of precaution are you using by saying 100%? Publicity for you?

Not sure what that means.....

Nadal playing singles and doubles indicates that he is 100%, which comes as no surprise.

To be 80% one week and 100% the next week is often how it works.

Its not like there is a rule that says "you must go from 80% one week to 90% the next week".

Well, we've seen Rafa overdo things before. I'm glad he's playing doubles and planning to come back strong, and I'm sure if it gets too much he'll exercise his prerogative to withdraw. Hopefully he won't have to, and the wrist is fine...
