It’s going to be so awesome seeing Venus and Serena play doubles again.

I think a player that might give Serena trouble is Ludmilla Samsonova.

Technically, they all can give her trouble because they are half her age. But I see the most trouble coming from players who have variety in their game. That can throw the kitchen sink at her. Those kind of players historically give her fits. Someone like Ons or Cornet.

This was a fun match and Kontaveit fought so hard, hopefully this match with help her .Serena played really well and maybe Stubbs is really helping

Rennae has been a huge help. They interviewed her right after Serena came off the warmup court. She said the tactics against Anett would be to take the ball early, dictate the points and pressure the 2nd serve.

I still think tonight changed the narrative from: can Serena win first round? 2nd round? Now, she's in the conversation, and not just a swan song. Am I getting ahead of myself?

I hope so! She deserves the prime time spot, plus she’ll avoid some of the intense heat and humidity.

She has to keep attacking the second serve of her opponents. Fortunately for Serena, there isn’t anyone on her side that has a truly menacing serve. I find Serena is at her best when she breaks an opponent. It seems to calm her down.

Ons on a fast HC against Serena I dont think so, Serena plays first strike tennis, and Ons serve is very attackable, she will give Serena the pace she likes, Serena will have to look out for the drop shots and also the slice Ons likes to play

Only big servers on her side are Maddy and Coco and they play each other next. There's a few others who are consistent and effective, but not consistently big.
