Karolina Pliskova struck 24 aces in her match-point saving win over Amanda Anisimova in the 2nd RD.This is the most any women has hit in a match at the US Open since the tournament began recording the stat in 1998.( previous record was owned by Julia Goreges in 2019 with 21).

Sabelenka will not defeat Collins. Collins will draw Sabelenka into a power hitting contest where lack of footwork may catch up with the higher ranked player IMO.

I don't know how Karolina survived that match. Poor Anisimova, I don't know what is missing from her game but just being "unlucky".

Amanda has to do what Kenin did to win a slam. When the match is on the line, you have to go for your shots and give enough margin and will yourself not to miss. Because Pliskobot was playing it too safe. She was there for the taking and Amanda let her off the hook.

Gosh Vika can be 'bitchy' towards the ball kids....
Botched up a couple of volley's Garbine breaks and leads 5-2 final set,though there has been some great hitting between these two players.
