If the ball landed a foot to the right or left you would not be engaging in this lecture. It was bad luck and the last thing on Djokovic’s mind but that’s the risk you take when you express yourself emotionally.

Yeah and it was good luck the other hundred times he missed someone... What happen today is just a cumulation of everything. He was lucky many times to not hit people with his anger and now he wasn’t.

It doesn't matter the intentions. He knows what can be the cost of ball slamming. 2 minutes before he slams the ball hard after Busta dropsho and that he hit the line judge. He should slam the racket instead of the ball, that's it. Very stupid way to go out of the tournament.

How about he should slam nothing not the ball or not the racket? Ever think of that you genius?

Its up to them, more than one option on the table. But not for this guy from South Europe.

Again, I’m not sure what the rule says exactly, but in my personal opinion an automatic ejection for someone who accidentally hits a linesperson and has no prior history of doing so is an excessive punishment. If this were Kyrgios, for example, it would be a different matter because of the countless warnings he has received. Can’t they just give the opponent a game and then level a heavy fine? Why go to the extreme of terminating the match?

Am I out of line saying that the reaction of the lineswoman was out of proportion to the pace he hit the ball? Looked underarm to me

They already decided differently, case was ball hitting a cameraman, decision: code violence.
The motherfuckers grab this opportunity to put him away.

She was very smart, golden opportunity. She walked away on her own feet.

There is a very fine line with the emotions of sports. Sometimes mistakes happen. If players had no personality or emotions, then sporting events would be boring.

I agree they need to be fair to everyone, that tennis player should also been defaulted usta seem to pick who they kick out very weird.

You still haven’t shown where the gray area is exactly. ESPN made it sound like there is none and you have yet to refute that point.

It hit her in the throat it’s a tennis ball it’s not a cotton ball.

This wasn’t some anti-Serbian maneuver. They would have defaulted anyone who had done this.
I totally agree he had to be defaulted. Just found the histrionics weird given how hard it was hit

Just enjoy this unexpected gift.
Your male cow will for sure.

Federberg remember when the great Stefan killed someone with his ace? I mean, Edberg holds that dubious distinction.

Sorry but someone could be passionate without being violent. Sometimes the way Djokovic slams balls or breaks rackets is so lunatic and psycho-like, it has nothing to do with being interesting or boring. One of the reasons I don’t like Shapovalov despite being Canadian is also his attitude problem and today it was a proof that it’s because violence doesn’t belong in tennis. Two minutes earlier Djokovic slammed a tennis ball even harder and it could have hit a cameraman, he’s just violent. I knew it was going to eventually happen and well it did in a slam so the punishment is bigger.

NOw this why Nadal and federer more loved than djokovic acting like this, even if federer hit the ball really hard into the crowd last year like a crazy man still never hit a woman in the neck thats even worse.
