Just read this on Twitter from Jose Morgado,

11 players had 'close' contact with Paire,(both men and women) and they will play the tournament. They have been given a new documentation to sign.Don't have access to some area's but still can practice and play. Are the USTA contradicting themselves from Cincinnati (Pella) last week?.
Begs the question as to what "close contact" means. If they're masked and maintaining physical distance, as they should be, per the rules, then chances are good that they're fine. In that case, I would get why a coach (as in the case of Pella...and Dellien, wasn't it?) would spend a longer time in "contact" with the player (not physical, just proximity?) so that perhaps that not completely inconsistent. If they mean that players aren't respecting the rules as to contact, then they should be sent away.

OMG, it so dead for a major to be going on! People should be at home watching and blogging away! You know you're getting old when past champion's kids are playing in an event! I heard Borg's son is coming along, but has a little ways to go to make to tour! Korda's son is playing Shapo at the moment in the 1st Rd.! He's giving Den all he wants and more already splitting sets, but up a break on the newbie! :exploding-head:

With Nadal and Federer not playing, the boring Djokovic and the other players can’t get enough interest. Heck even Kyrgios would have made things a little bit interesting.

It still is not clear from the USTA.....read on twitter that other players apart from the 11,
have also been in contact in lifts etc. with Paire, also playing cards.
The restrictions include dining area's and locker rooms.I would think these players would be getting tested daily.

Zverev critizes the organizers didn't inform players that Paire tested positive.Zverev says he learnt it from media/twitter.
He has a strong point.

I still don't agree with singing "God Bless America," before a sporting event, but the Audra Day opening was beautiful, and a great montage.

Djokovic is starting to scream like a lunatic. Ivanišević looked confused and scared.

Djokovic just slammed a ball in anger and it landed on the wall on the opposite side of the court.

Big hold for Dzumher, after an hour. That one was for dignity. :)

Even though he’s going to lose I hope Dzumhur will keep Djokovic on the court as long as possible.

Just heard from the telecast on ESPN that Medvedev is going to be limited to playing his match with no practice due to his limited contact with Paire! He's already left the event because of contracting C-19! I guess if Daniil continues to test neg. in a few days, he'll be allowed full privileges again! Murray down a set to Nishioka who's not exactly red-lining to stay ahead! The old guy thinks he can play that same defensive game; now down a break in the 2nd set! He struggling now with DF's, UFE's, and just not getting there when his movement is tested!
