Why do we have to know his personal reasons on why he does not want to play the US Open? I do not have any problem on whether or not he plays just like I do not have a problem with Djokovic playing the US Open to win more slam titles. At the end of the day, it's their personal and professional choice to play or not during the pandemic.

Don't insult a person's choice and say, "He is hiding!"
What are forums about?

Sharing opinions. Think about that and don’t try to teach grown people.

Having anything but a very pos. opinion of Nadal is not acceptable! You know how it is; "do as I say, not as I do!" The hypocrisy's mind-numbing!
Yeah so right my friend.
You already mentioned the idiot, who is blabbering about bull, who didn’t Even have the courage to play here.
I have to admit Nadal is smart enough to know it would have been waste of time!

Get ready for the onslaught! They don't like "truth" in anything really if it interferes with their adoration of their very own "Tennis Angel!" :face-vomiting:

Nadal has been able to beat peak Djokovic on Hardcourt and peak Federer on Grass, in slam finals! Please someone wake me up when they do the same to him in a clay slam final.
Never has Nadal beat peak Novak , during his prime yes, but not peak. because Novak’s peak level is the highest, even bull knows this and admitted it officially!!!!! Haha even your dirt Angel is smarter than you.
Novak beat prime bull more often than other way around, on every surface, also on his best in Paris.
Novak’s best slam surface is Australia, how often did. bull beat him there?
NoT necessary to talk about overall wins.
There is no doubt who is the greater and more complete!

I'm sorry; it'll be like asking Trump why "he lies!" He can't understand and the Nadal-fan can't understand how poorly their sycophantic, irrational behavior is making them look!

You are a fool. Without Nadal stopping Djokovic both at the French open and US open in 2013 Djokovic would have ended with three slams that year so yes he was at his peak but Nadal was God mode. Also at the U.S. Open in 2010 Djokovic was already knocking on the door but it was Nadal again in God mode who delayed Djokovic’s big run to the next year. Djokovic had tons and tons of finals at the U.S. Open he is as solid there as the Australian open it’s just that he ran into the US open king Nadal a few times as well as peak Stanimal. Djokovic is a solid player but he’s mostly a pusher so when players like Nadal and Wawrinka are landing their big forehands down the line and moving well Djokovic has zero chance. You are welcome because that was a free tennis lesson that I just gave you. Have a nice day!

Nadal’s god mode loses against Novak’s, even Nadal admitted that, you poor genius.
Novak did not reach his peak in these particular matches, otherwise he would have won.
Haha 2010 wasn’t even in his prime, and far from peak, like all the matches before that.
Nadal has two more years of professional tennis on his back, lesser wins against Novak and just two slams more (hopefully soon just one). Just look at the facts honk.
Even you have to understand the difference between ao and US, look at Madrid clay and Paris or Rome, fact is Nadal was defeated on his best slam court by Novak, not vice versa.
Novak beat him in 15 finals, Nadal just 11 times.
Jesus it’s that obvious.
Ask Nadal , at least you have to believe your master :face-with-tears-of-joy: .

Look Nadal will be the one who ends with the slam record and he already leads both federer and djokovic 10-4 and 9-6 in slam h2h. So keep believing that Djokovic is the best but soon Nadal will win his 10th match against him in a slam. They will also end up with a slam total of Nadal 23, Federer 20, Djokovic 17. The difference between me and you is that I am not blinded like you are since you actually believe that Djokovic is your husband. Nadal hasn’t lost a match when he was in God mode only injuries have stopped him throughout his career as he often had to make comebacks and try to regain his form. But as soon as he reaches his Godmode level then everyone else became irrelevant. Anyways I am sure that because your husband isn’t playing today that you will watch his matches all day long on YouTube. Awwww so cute. :rose:

I’m talking about facts that happened, not wishful thinking like you Nadal slave.
Nadal himself admitted that Novak level was higher than anyone’s else. He said it in your language so you should be able to understand it.
Novak’s peak is higher.
I can understand why Nadal slaves like you hate Novak. Without him your work robot would be the goat by nearly every stat.
But he is real and shows your master where his border is!
Without Novak’s 2year walkabout, you would disappear from every tennis forum like Darth fed did., guess why?

Sorry but the biggest peak in tennis is Nadal on clay not Novak on hardcourt. Do you want me to pull out the statistics and humiliate you? Rafa is always generous and kind in his words, but the fact remains that the highest level of tennis ever seen in the universe is Rafa on clay not Djokovic on hardcourt. I'd even say that Sampras on grass is a higher level than Djokovic on hardcourt. But Rafa on clay is far ahead of anyone, it's not even close.

Novak has biggest peak everywhere, when you are able to throw repeatedly perfect deep shots from both sides in combination with best return ever, surface isn’t important.
Nadal wasn’t kind, just that much impressed, he forgot about usual lying, just said how it is. Pure truth. A warrior like him, would not make such a great statement for nothing.
you should be thankful to Novak and kiss his feet, he made your master even better and work even harder than before, therefor Nadal was able to be the second best ever, not bad, be happy about that and accept Novak as your real master!
Take it as as girl, not like a sour grape.
Pete admitted recently, that Novak would beat him because of his superior return! Better than agassis.

He filled this thread with his shit a few sites before.
No one complained about that.
If someone answers it, it becomes a problem?

I don't care who started it. I'm speaking to everyone. This thread is about the USO and players who are currently playing in it. Take that other crap to a different thread or to pm's. No one wants to sift through pages of junk to get to the relevant posts about this tournament.

By the way, you don't have to respond to every post. The best way to silence a troll is to do nothing. :light-bulb:

Good grief! Do not turn this thread into a war about players who aren't even in this tournament.

Without the USO King Rafa playing, this tournament doesn't have a lot of credibility and depth. But you are right I will let things go and not engage any further with the Djokovic trolls... Let's enjoy the rest of this tournament because even it's more like an ATP 500 this year it's still better than nothing,...

I’m hoping Thiem can sneak in and win this. It’s a tough ask with the court speed inconsistency.

So, I am curious are players allowed to play both the US and French Open? There isn’t much time in between either to quarantine. I’m surprised the French was allowed to move so close on the heels of the US Open. I’m surprised Thiem didn’t place his energy into the French where he stands the greatest chance. He is taking a huge risk that he will remain healthy enough to play the French.

Thiem has no chance to beat Rafa at RG, he gets destroyed every time. However at the AO he came very close to beating Djokovic in the final so imagine what he could do with him at the USO. I think Thiem made the right choice to play the USO especially since Nadal withdrew.

Europe changed quarantine to 10 days, there are discussions to reduce to 5 days.
14 days is ridiculous. Nearly everyone isn’t contagious after 5 days.
Thiem should have done the Nadal and focus on dirt, but he proved often he isn’t that smart.
