Dominic is trying to fight off a bagel in the 2nd set, survives and PCB leads 5-1 and is about to serve for the 2nd set, winning the 1st set 75
BCB won the 2nd set 61

I really feel Thiem should go back to playing challengers, he keeps losing in first rd matches in harder tournaments

Of course Thiem has a break in the final set and leads 3-0 :) that was short lived as PCB broke back and score are back on serve
Thiem broke back again and leads 5-3,.short lived again as PCB breaks back on serve in the 3rd set, Dominic UFE are costing him games

Ben Shelton has won the 4th set in a tie breaker and this match will be going the distance. I am not sure how many 5 set matches Ben has played before, but he is only 19 years old so he should be able to handle it.

Ben Shelton is gonna have his day at the US Open. It is not today though as he loses in a tough and hard fought 5 set match to Borges.

Yep, I watched him a couple of weeks ago and was like :astonished-face: he is really good and he is really hot. I want to see more of him. :p
I also think he played well in the warmups because that was BO3, the slams are a different animal which is why the Big3 have dominated.

I don't think he is used to many BO5 matches. He didn't look worn down but really I don't know if he was or not. I also don't know if this is his first ever Slam so that probably has to add to the nerves. He will definitely have many more Slams to come.

The Montreal champion BCB d Dominic Thiem 75 61 57 63

Dominic really has to go back to the challenger's and get more match time under his belt and win, his UFE cost him big time in the match and his serve let him down at crucial times in the match

Something has to be wrong with Tsitsipas. 0-6, 0-5. I wouldn't be surprised if a withdrawal is coming soon.

I think if Tsitsipas loses his serve and loses this 2nd set 0-6 , he is going to quit.
