He would have lost to any top 50 player barring Nadal, which is his customer now, and Kyrgios, (as he would have seen that Federer was playing like shit and tank the match, as he only cares when he plays one of the big three at a decent level). :dance2:

I can't disagree with this, which is sad..

Speaking of next gen.. I didn't see too many posters rooting for Tiafoe to come through versus Fed.
Nope, and I see they don't want to talk about him after that match.....they look to be still in shock :lol6:

Did you expect any Federer fans to root for Tiafoe? Seems like a weird request. I don't think many Rafalites were rooting for Lajovic in the first round right?

I was hoping for a new winner; maybe Sasha or Kyrgios, but they're both gone already! I probably won't even watch if either Fedal in the final unless the opponent has a very good chance of winning! The Next Gen just aren't very durable; showing glimpses of genius in Masters' events only to lose early at a major! :nono:  :banghead: :(

US Open final is at same time as the Packers first game. I hope I have a conflict because that means Fed made the final. Otherwise I'm definitely not watching.

Probably a high chance I'll miss the final as my wife had the bright idea of booking holidays the weekend of the final. She's good that way! :banghead:

LOL I see that you are very sure that Roger will play the final but I'm very positive that you will watch the Packers first game without any problem, just a little bit disappointed

Berdych lost to Dolgopolov, huh?. I'm guessing he's on the Laver Cup team because it's in Prague and everybody else is injured? Because...he's been on a big downward spiral for about 2 years now...

Where did I say I'm very sure. Does "I hope" somehow mean to you that I'm implying that "he's definitely reaching the final"

We will see whose rubbing it in at the end my dear. Remember Wimbledon when you proclaimed there was no clear favorite? I'd say that worked out beautifully. Too bad it isn't grass or the town whore would be losing soon.

Sir Grigor choked away the first set. He seems to be the last hope to dispose of evil before the semi.

Not really, Tiafoe is American. The Canadian got a lot of support vs JowillieTs.

The guys on ESPN said that his back is hurting affecting his movement around the court.
Bummer to say the least.

And I keep saying the same, in Wimbledon wasn't a clear favorite and neither here. My philosophy is like Nadal has, les't go to respect to every single player and going match by match, day by day

There was a clear favorite at Wimbledon as proven by the guy who won without dropping a set. Anyways I'd say given the state of Roger that Nadal is the favorite here. If Grigor goes down he has a bye to the semifinals.

Roger can't complain neither, his supposedly most tough opponents are already out

Honestly, Lopez looks like he's more into dudes...

IIRC Feli Lopez got married to his long-time girlfriend in 2015 just before Cincy...so don't tell his wife that. She probably wouldn't be too happy to hear a rumor like that.
