I don’t know whether Medvedev should try to win the first set or not. It hasn’t helped the others before him.

First set Medevdev, but this is when Djokovic has been putting on the after-burners. Two things Daniil is doing right: be unpredictable, and serve great. But he's got to keep it up.

Medvedev needed confidence more than ever and he got it. I would say it's 50:50 match from now on. If Medvedev keeps serving like this it's going to be very hard for Djokovic.

strong hold by Novak. he needs to step up, I don't think he can come back from 2 sets down to Medvedev here and he knows it.

Good strategy by medvedev, playing defensive tennis, at times dinking... making djokovic go for it, knowing he is under pressure. He’s serving well too and when djoker least expects it, hitting a hard groundstroke.

this is a completely different matchup than berretini and zverev, who were hitting big... medvedev is like baiting djokovic...

I recall that happening to Lendl in the '86 Wimbl. Final vs Becker! Had L-40 just like Nole there and somehow got out of it just like Medvedev!

I would believe it if it was Tsitsipas across the net, just don't see Daniil blowing it if he goes 2:0. It's his wedding anniversary too, probably why he is extra motivated I'm a bit superstitious.

The main "downer" is Medvedev hasn't paid a cost in racing to this lead! He's still fresh as a daisy more than likely while Novak looks off!
