Jo was up in second set too and he squandered it. Doing the same again in 3rd set.

Yeah, doesn't seem he'll even win a single set. Pure garbage effort.

Nobody giving Andy any credit?

Sweet pass there for 0-15

He's playing well but nothing amazing and he's getting a lot of help in fairness.

No more help than you usually get against a non-elite opponent on an average day.

This non elite player is ranked 9, Murray if he's so elite is ranked 10. Fact is, Tsonga can play much better but hasn't. Every time he had leads he blew them.

Of course they'll switch places in the rankings after this but coming into it Tsonga was the higher ranked non elite player.

I didn't say anything about Murray being an elite player. My comment is merely that you're doing Andy an injustice by saying he's getting "a lot of help". Tsonga is a big hitter who will sometimes hit blinding winners and sometimes hit wayward errors, you'll always get a bit of help against him and pretty much anyone else apart from Nadal, Djokovic, Federer.

What bs from Jo. Was 2-0 up last time I watched and was away for a bit. Pathetic effort by Jo today. Off to watch The Inbetweeners 2.

Jo really choked away some serious opportunities in sets two and three.

Also, this is incorrect for what it's worth. Murray is ranked 9 and Tsonga 10.

Fair enough. I was looking at the live rankings. Either way, not much between them.

Andy can only play the opponent that is there, but that being said, Tsonga did not play as well as he is capable, and gave Murray lots of opportunities on important points through terrible shot selection. Andy played ok, but he is capable of much more himself. It is what it is. With 1st serve percentages so low, it is hard to argue they were playing clean, high level tennis. Andy was just more consistent, and played the big points better.

Congrats to Andy on his first Top 10 win in over an year.

I am not here to take credit away from Andy. Andy did play well.

However, Tsonga played terrible especially in his own service games. I have not
checked the stat, but from what I saw his first serve in percentage must be about 50 or less.
More importantly he played big points bad after putting up a good fight to get to the tail
end of every long set.

In third set, not only was he a break up, he had opportunities to go double break up.
