Ferrer made some tired looking errors and dropped serve. Tipsy serving for the 2nd.

They're contractually obligated to go five.

Tommy wins the first set?! :snigger Fed's chances drop to fifty/fifty of winning the match according to the commentators.

I bet there are advertisers hiring shooters to ensure Fed's win. There's more anticipation for the Fedal quarter than there is for the final. That would be hysterical if one of Roger's long time patsies is responsible for the upset. [/font]

Tipsy takes the 2nd with a stunning penultimate point, then an ace.

And as is often the case when a way lesser player wins a set, they begin to hit with confidence.

My guess: Federer is going to break his serve in the next few games, deflate Robredo, and win this in 4.

Fedal propaganda is something else. That was never going to be a contest. Now it might not happen but I still think Roger takes this match. If he allows the likes of Robredo beat him on fast hard courts he might never recover

Kinda sucks to have work. I like Robredo but if Fed loses this I'm speechless tbh. Well, have to miss it and go to bed but hopefully I wake up to a Fed victory.

Same old BP conversion rate, and now the forehand is starting to go haywire too.

I don't know why Fed is having so much trouble w/ T-Rob. He's allowing Rob to be the agressor and control the points.

It's easy KS, Fed's return and backhand are so vanilla it is easy to dictate. The real kicker is when he loses confidence in the forehand as he has now.

Are you watching this online?

Watching this one on the USOpen.org live-feed. Fantastic quality. Tipsy up a break in the 3rd, 3-1.

EDIT: Oh, jeepers: Nadal just came out on Ashe. My 2-ring circus is about to go 3-ring. :(

Darth,
Could this be mental? Is Fed upset about the court change?

It's time to pack it in for 2013. This is the ultimate embarrassment

No, the court change explains the first couple of games, no more. Tommy is playing very well, it should be said.

KS only part is mental, the reality is that Roger is #7 for a reason or 5.

Don't give up yet Darth. Tommy is in uncharted waters and finds himself down 0-30. The possibility of beating Fed is blowing his mind.
