Kiu,

You do know Serena superstitious point of always being the first to shake the chairs hand first regardless of the outcome? It's very well, and that's why I wrote what I wrote.

Nope, didn't know that, that's something tossip would know.

You are trying to jinx her!
Just kidding!

Calvy, the loser always shake hands first!
That might be true tennis etiquette, but not when Serena plays. She almost always shakes hands first and most players (not named Maria) allow her to do so. Why? I am not sure. I think its a superstitious thing.

serena looks like guy in drag. that highwaster with those arms and bootie is not flattering

Unlike what Calvy says, I say Serena has gained weight since the French Open and Clay season.
I think it's the dress. It is nice but it make her look "hippy" (wide in the hips for the uninitiated):D

Great court side interview of Victoria Duval. You can hear that she is a student of the game and is observing what the more experienced players do when they play. She said that every shot of Serena's has a purpose; I am sure that she means point construction. She is about to graduate from high school and wants to be a biomedical engineer in order to help people. She said that the experiences of her father has much to do with her career aspirations. She also gave a shout out to the "cake-boss" in Hoboken, NJ as she hopes to get a cake, lol.

Unfortunately, she and Donald Young lost in mixed doubles 10-7 in the final set. She had fun but blamed her inexperience for the loss. Great kid! I hope she stays sweet regardless if her rank is 200 or 2.

she is very humble indeed:clapseems intelligent...this kid will not compare herself to Miley Cyrus because she is not shallow.
Maybe she got tips on beating Stosur from Venus who owned Stosur....

What other Tennis guy? Earlier I called a tight match between DP/Hewitt. Hewitt beat DP at a grass warm-up event this year.

The announcer with deep voice, I am not good with names unless it's female name!
I remember Chrissie!

Day 5 dragged into day 6...

Deep voice on ESPN? Could be Cliff Drysdale.

I am glad to see Serena's play is improving with each match. Definitely a step up from her play this summer. The serve is starting to click again. Her return has been on fire, and her ground game has finally left clay mode and gotten into hard court aggressive mode. I think she might want to incorporate a bit more net play into her game especially in the later rounds to give her opponents a different look.

this is horrible scheduling and its not fair at all..this is reminding me of 2011.They should have scheduled Del Potro after Serena because he is very slow and hopefully this is not to give Sloane an unfair advantage...
this is USTA for y all..

Worst still its the USO where Serena has had most of her problems

They have messed up Serena before with that late scheduling.

Kiu used the word "announcer" not "umpire" (and also mentioned Chrissie), so I figured that meant on TV, not on court.
