Sorana vs. Eugenie for night cap, two beautiful ladies, neither of whom is playing particularly
well right now, not to mention that neither of them have ever won a Grandslam or
been ranked #1. Looks like the schedulers are thinking exactly like me.

Serena will take down another compatriot (Vania King), with the possibility of taking down yet another in the following round (Lepchenko) -- all while the commentators discuss how many Americans are left in the draw. Could be ironic.

It's 11:00 am in New York, day 4 is about to begin in this last Grand Slam event of the year.

Vika, Ana, Flavia and Casey have early matches.

maybe not Sunday. She will need a match like Ana to tune her up for the later rounds.

This Vika/McHale match is littered w/ errors so far. Not a pretty match at all

Stosur could give her that and Kvitova is still in it ;). It would suck if she had to run the gauntlet of Stosur, Ana and Petra.

Ivanovic in trouble. Pliskova is serving for the match to beat her in straights.

EDIT: And she does. Another upset.

Stosur can, but you don't want her to wait until Petra (SF), before she gets tested. If Petra makes it that far, she's playing well and Serena will need to be battle tested before that round.

I guess Sunday doesn't have to worry about Ana at all now. :wow:

I now know Karolina is the higher ranked twin. Top 40 vs top 100 for Kristyna. Serena's path got a tad easier with Ana gone.
