He's lucky that when guys get ahead of him they usually self destruct like total muppets. Will never forget the Cilic meltdown against him. Shameful.
Come on, every time a player you don't like is winning, you act like you've never watched tennis before. What happened in this match happens ALL the time and it's nothing new, unusual, or shameful. There's a reason someone like Mannarino never made any noise in slams. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to keep up that level of play when you're playing way above your usual standards against a vastly superior opponent? The mental and physical toll alone is enough to get you back down to earth quickly, and the moment that happens, someone with Murray's experience, wits and skill will pounce immediately. The moment the superior player comes back and wins set 3, it suddenly feels like he's the one who's up two sets to one.
This is similar to the same bafflement you express every time someone makes "unnecessary" unforced errors against Nadal (gee I wonder why they felt the need to go for too much). See Federer, Roger.
Speaking of whom, I'm willing to bet Roger has come back from two sets to love down way more than Murray has. That doesn't seem to bother you nor do you think his opponents are shameful. Julien Benetteau says hi.
