Yes, Lisicki is the next victim of the horrible screaming.

I am surprised people here actually thought the screamer was going to lose today. I think Venus can do it if healthy on match day.

That would require Venus to get to the QFs, which I don't think will happen. And even if it does, she won't beat a Maria who has also made it that far.

Well, Sabine has shut off the screams before, I think in Wimbledon. But, I doubt she will
do it here though.

Sabine and Pironkova do well only in Wimby.

I am watching Vee's match at the moment, she will need to improve if she is to get to the q/finals,having a struggle at the moment against Timea, early days yet though.

Venus has settled into this match better now,up a break against Timea leads 4-1 and has had a couple of BPs again in Timea's service game,Venus breaks

Venus will serve for the 1st set 5-1

Does everyone really doubt Venus can get to the QF? If she met the screamer, she would lose? What is the head to head? I think Venus can beat Pova. If the consensus is that she can't, why were people saying Pova has a tough draw?

Don't say that GSM, one never knows, I think Sabine is in better form than Masha is, Masha is definitely NOT at her best, she finds ways to win, that's her specialty.
Sabine can boom boom anyone to oblivion, if she plays at her best and the serve clicks.

Venus wins the 1st set 61

Venus is serving for the match, ahead 5-4 in the second.
Bacsinszky has been sending everything back in the second set, some long rallies. Lots of winners, more than Venus.

^ I have been impressed how Timea played in the 2nd set.

Venus wins 61 64...still a bit wobbly serving out a match, she comes through.

That's what Slam winners do, they find ways to win.

Sara is still out there and playing a second set tie breaker, she will be done soon and so will be today.

Yup, that waah-eh is one of the most annoying grunts around. Can't stand her.

One of the reasons I cant see Venus making it through is,she is playing doubles also in this tournament

With her present condition,I am not using that as a excuse, still it is a factor,I dont know if she can go deep in the singles tournament.I know she has been playing solid tenns of late, still I have a question mark on her.

day 3 is finished, bottom half are down to 16, 16 matches were completed, 7 were decided in 3 sets.

Simona gets the best score of the day, she only allowed 3 games.
