It is hard to believe it was Dimitrov's first ever win at the Open today...

Yeah, was shocked by that too.

Grigor has underperformed a few years ago, especially in slams. I thought it was a known fact.

I think Stan will have a loooong night ahead.

He looks determined to cut short this match. His service games are as quick as Roger's in his prime.

That was 10 minutes ago, and Stan fell behind in the 3rd set, now 1-4 and playing from behind this entire set.
My wish for a loooong match may come true after all.
Oooops another break. 5-1

Come on Thomaz, take your time.

That was 6 months ago, what has Stan done late? lose, lose and lose.

Front242,
this is what you get for all the bashing you did to Pova, she advanced, her boyfriend advanced and YOU had to stay late to catch Waw do a Wow!
Me too!
:)

Wawrinka is back to business, holds at love.

Well, I've been saying he'd have a tough match today. He's totally inconsistent. He played a great set and 2 games in the AO final and a great match against Novak and that's about it. Wasn't impressed by him anywhere else this year except that 3rd set TB in his last match.

Some complain at the disrespect of not getting a marquee match, too. (Either not Ashe, or not night.) Night in NY is considered special, (as it is in Oz.) If Wawrinka is going to let it go too late, that's his fault. Bellucci is talented, but Wawrinka can't be giving it away.

He can't convert his breaks,
It's officially midnight in NY!

Moxie, folks tend to forget, this is the city that NEVER sleeps.

Though, in tennis-sleeping terms, I still think we're not as bad as Melbourne. We try to get you out of your match just in time the make the sweet-spot of a good club. :celeb:

And Wawrinka is back in the 4th!

Both are really sweating. Bellucci's momentum just collapsed. If Stan doesn't get it done in 4, that will be a knock on his stock.
