Matthieu is a good player, no given for Haas. I think Monaco - Mayer could be a long one too.

Both excellent match ups. PHM may actually outlast Haas. Haas may surgically take him apart, if he is on.

Monaco's hard court record of late is pitiful.

another thing that doesn't go away: WTA matches going to unnecessary overtime when i'm waiting to see a match.

Mr. Zemlja might have showed the worst smash error i've ever seen by a pro. in fact, i can't recall having seen one like that on any level - cut it sideways into the audience to gift Fed a BP. nice fh by Fed to seize it though. and just like that, a set is over.

Monfils recovered nicely from whatever injury cost him the final v Melzer - lost three games, finished with a bagel.

I am expectig Isner vs. Monfils 2nd Round match will be scheduled in Arthur Ashe. American vs. Showman will be a good match to watch.
