Frustrating...it never even rained in Manhattan. OK, roofs are coming.

Tomic is the worst moving 20 year old tennis player I have ever seen.

:s

Um... Raonic surges to the front of my mind.
Not counting giants who are SUPPOSED to be slow...;)

Tomic is up there at 6'5" tall, same height as Raonic.

Darn, really?? Well, he looks shorter...:snigger.AND..and..Milos is 22...older legs...

Old legs?!? :cover Hog-nose is moving better now than he did at 21... can't imagine how slow he was at 20.

Come on brother, I was trying hard since I had no argument left :D

Truth is, Tomic has no leg power. When you look at his serve, it is all upper body. He arms most shots because he does not have legs behind them. He seriously has to get stronger in the lower body. I mean, Milos has serious leg power that he uses for his shots and the serve. he is just a bit on the slower side...;)

oh yes DAN EVANS..:laydownlaughing...talking of shock wins, the bloke who until recently would rather go out on the razzle than train properly (like gulbis), then comes thru qualifying to waste no 11 rank nikishori..:clap

makes a change from the usual 'plucky brit' stories (e.g bogdanovic 7 wild cards at wimby..7 first rd defeats).

Andy has always said that that Evans had talent but not a great work ethic. Dan said today that he knew Andy has been watching his challenger matches on livestreams. Andy also gave him some tips on how to beat Nishikori. Andy is always willing to spend time with the other Brit players if he thinks they will work hard. Over the years he's invited quite a few of them to train with him in Miami.

re: Bogdanovic I'm pretty sure that 4 of those 1st round defeats were against top players. I think he had Nadal twice and Federer and Hewitt. His record wasn't as bad as it sounds.

thanks for that captain obvious, i know what andy said..and I heard about him watching his matches and about having players over in his Miami base.

and it was 8 wild cards and 8 first rd defeats not just 7.

very late to the party, but got to give some props to fellow Austrian Andi Haider-Maurer for taking out Gulbis. although, i got a feeling that it was probably Ernests himself who did the taking-out.

Wow did you get out the wrong side of your bed today? My response is read my more than just you. I doubt many non-Brits on here even know who Dan Evans is. I was merely providing a bit of background to others.

BTW it was you that said 7, not me. I just stated that he's had a few tough 1st round matches. Still not a great record though.
