BTW after her win today Karolina Muchova who defeated X. Wang in 3 sets has now reached the QFs of all four Grand Slams. She also has a good chance of qualifying for the WTA Finals. Hopefully Muchova can keep healthy, a player I love to watch

Sorana Cirstea 1st set 63 against Belinda Bencic
Cirstea was serving for the match 5-2, broken, and then breaks Belinda and wins the match 63 63

To me the best match at the USO so far, and also a contender for 'match of the year' Cirstea v Rybakina, it went down to the wire, impressed how Cirstea held her ground against Rybakina, and a well deserved win from Sorana. I recorded the match, as I have been working night shift. A match I will certainly watch again.

Well done to Sorana Cirstea at age 33, is the oldest women to ever reach USO QF defeating Belinda Bencic 63 63
Sorana did serve for the match and was broken, then broke straight back to win the match. Sorana continues her dream run at the USO, defeated Rybakina in her previous match
