Pavs is overpowering Svitolina.

It's was a great match ..Elina felt like she wasn't playing well she said in the beginning..well the way I saw it was Pavs was driving the bus..Elina picked up her intensity and PLAYED more aggressively...I haven't ever seen her service come in so hard and so many aces .. Pavs forced her to hit harder IMO

Agree. I think she hit 3 aces in her last game, it helped her win as it was a close game. During her oncourt interview she also said she worked on being more agressive. Pegula will be a huge task for her in the next round, but I feel Svitolina could beat her.

I think there is something going on in her life.She looks frantic and frazzled about something.I hope that she is not dealing with an addiction, because the manifestations of addiction are all over her.I hope I am wrong..

Interesting point from Darren Cahill earlier today saying he dosent think singles player should play mix doubles, playing doubles,. eg woman can help your singles game, and vica a versa with men playing doubles, though playing mixed doubles is no benefit to a woman or a male, I take his point

Well..she is over playing and her first match went on and on.I think mixed doubles are really for doubles specialists to make extra money,and practicing for the Olympics.
