Great to see Venus cruising.

Swiatek with the first set bagel of Jorovic.

Cepelova tagging back against Hsieh. Good match there.

Brady coming out alive in the second set to force a third set against Sasnovich.

Muchova and Rybakina on serve. Solid tennis from both ladies so far. Haven't watch much of it. But I like what I've seen.

Oops sorry. Muchova actually serving for the set. Thought Rybakina was serving. And Muchova takes it.

Just read this on tweeter after Monica Puig lost her 1R match

' I wanted to prove to myself that nobody is going to be able to treat me this way on anything',she said referring to her ex-coach Kamau Murray.

'To give, and to receive a slap in the face it's hard'.

Mladenovic beat Kerber just as I tought she might pull an upset. Good draw pick, happy with myself.

And Sakkari beat Giorgi leaving her with only one game. What?? I tought Giorgi could take this at least to 3rd set and possibly even win.

So my guess that he dumped her to return to Sloane is correct. I saw an interview she did earlier in the year where she said she had moved to Lincoln Park in the winter. No one in their right mind moves to Chi in the winter time. :cuckoo:

Sakkari is too steady for Camila, who is an erratic flamethrower

Quite frankly I feel for Monica,I mean moving and then getting dumped after 3 months?

Kerber seems to do better in even years:) looking at her results, look for her in 2020:)
I was not surprised she lost in the 1st rd,she has dismal results in GS this year

Seems like today was one of those erratic plays for her. Still tought she could be dangerous if hitting well, she played final the other day, but it means nothing obviously.

Camilla always plays high risk game. So it is not unusual for her to lose (or even win) with such a lop sided score.
