I'm happy with Nadal playing Cilic in the 4th round well done to him if he wins.

Cilic to "serve" for the match. Let's see how this goes.

Better serving day for Zverev, apparently, and he gets through in 4th set TB.

You must have missed his 1st set then:) he was woeful lead 5-2 and lost in a t/break....he did improve though in the match.

I didn't know Medvedev could troll like that. He may be a jerk and it's part of his character as it seems, but his on court interview was really something. He went all in. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but he's got balls to act like that. Controversies are fun, something to talk about. I can't find his press conference after the match. I wonder what he said there.

Some guy also provoked Novak yesterday cheering when the serb double faulted. Novak furiously cursed at him.

God only knows what will happen tonight in Rublev - Kyrgios match.

Yeah, I missed most of it. I keep trying to be hopeful for a Zverev turnaround. I mean, not against Rafa, but I'd like to see him start living up to potential. It's painful to watch him struggle so much.

Did you see Novak get into it with a guy on the practice courts before his match? That was something.

Most of it starts in the head with him,no one can teach you that,it is up to you to turn it around mentally.Playing tough matches and winning is a start.

No. I heard him talking about it in a presser. What happened there?

I'll come find you hahah, as if they were on the streets. Strange to see Novak getting involved in such things and pulling the threat card. I think he is pissed over his shoulder having some kind of hitis.
I think it was that: tense about the shoulder, etc. Strange that someone was heckling him on the practice courts, as well. I've never seen that. I know my people here in NY have a reputation for rudeness, at least as far as the Majors go. (And OK, in general, though I'd dispute that. Oh, and the French aren't great, either at RG.) LOL.

This is disgusting. Nadal could end a US Open all time great, which would be a perversion of tennis.
You Fed fans have kinda gone off the rails, don't ya think?

I am thrilled for Pablo Andujar. He was off 18 months while having 3 elbow surgeries.
And now he is in the 4R at the USO, apparently he won until this event only 2 matches one HC in his whole career!!!
He won a hard one v Edmund, and then his section of the draw really opened up, with Thiem gone, as it was a gimme for Thiem, anyway. I don't expect it to last when he gets the winner of Monfils/Shapo.

Everything is bonus for him at this point in his career.

Denis vs. Gael should be a good one.
Denis turned around his performance this year recently, since Youzhny joined his coaching team. I don't think is just a coincidence.

I do not think he will turnaround against Nadal BUT him playing hard and winning even he is not playing well is an encouraging sign. At the very least, he is showing that he does indeed like tennis even with all the distractions going around him off the court.

In my opinion, after the US Open, he should just shut down his season so he could mentally reset. Watching him play right now he is just mentally struggling right now. Playing more tennis (at least after this US Open) will not help him mentally.
