Kudla could benefit from taking a second or two more before his second serve. He seems to rush himself, and it doesn't help him.

At the very least Kudla should have softened up Novak by making him stay longer in the courts (even if he did not win a set) for Stan.

I don't recall seeing an uglier match than Medvedev x Lopez. I mean, ever.

Though you were the only one watching it, so we'll have to take your word for it. Why so ugly, in your estimation?

Brad Gilbert and his malapropisms. Lopez has been on the tour for 75000 years, and Gilbert still calls him Feel-o.

Sunday night should be fun! Novak Djokovic vs. Stan Wawrinka in the 4th round...surprisingly, this will be their first meeting since...the 2016 US Open Final in which both players were limping towards at the end of the match.

It will be interesting to see on how Djokovic's shoulder will fare against Wawrinka's power.

Also, Wawrinka is probably playing his best tennis since the two knee surgeries. In addition, he is playing the BIG points well in this tournament. Finally, he knows Djokovic is not 100% so he will definitely be pumped for Sunday night that's for sure!

So why so historically ugly?

Just my honest opinion. Apart from Lopez' volleys, all the rest those guys do is extremely ugly. I am not saying that it is a bad match, quality wise. I think it is ok in that department. But... ugh.

In my draw challenge (in racquet bracket) I picked Stan to beat Novak and then follow it up with a loss to Med.

If Medvedev closes this out in the 4 sets, then he I think he will be in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. His 4th round opponent is will be a lot less trickier than Lopez that's for sure.

Medvedev gets the break on a stunning lob.
