To answer your question of why make things worse: he is in a slam in which he is nearly an odds on favorite. If that wasn’t enough he is in a tough race for GOAT. He will be on court unless his arm falls offDjoke had pain when hitting his BH against Londero. I think he should give Kudla a WO and get his body healthy. Nothing is more important. Why make things worse by playing now? He can’t get past Wawrinka if not fit.
I agree with this. He can close down his season after the USO and be fine. Margaret says he's had an MRI. If he's not risking his career, I think he'll push it as far as he can take it.To answer your question of why make things worse: he is in a slam in which he is nearly an odds on favorite. Maybe just a tempest in a teapot. I do think Novak likes to stir up uncertainties.Just watching Novak hitting fhands and bhands on practice court now, looks okay to me,though being in a match of course can be different.

Oh, I do...I won't lie. Obviously, he has pain. Let's see if it's a big deal or not.Maybe, lets give him the benefit of the doubt, also I think a lot of other fans want him out?

Dimitrov! Give me a break!
He is not even in form currently.
In his whole life Dimitrov has taken two sets off of Roger and you expect him to take three sets in the same match?
On the other hand, McFly has actually won a match against Roger and that too in an important setting - in WTF and in SF at that,
when it looked like Fed was guaranteed to win the whole event.
You're talking to the one that wants him out the most. I don't see the competitive advantage to fake injury for the overwhelming favorite for the title. The reverse is true, it gives his opponents more hope against him and the other top contenders more hope to win the tournament.
To be clear, I don't think it's fake, either. It's a question of if it's a deal breaker, and often it's not.Lets wait and see first how he plays tonight,he did have a MRI yesterday so I dont think this is a fake injury.

Are you talking about me? Some nerve from you. At least I admitted it. You're the guy that roots for Nadal to lose matches he's not even playing in. Which is what I said above. It's clearly not fake and it's clearly an issue. I'm actually surprised Novak isn't trying to downplay it more. But as long as it's considered just pain and not a serious threat for more injury I'm sure he will play on and will mostly be fine. Obviously he has tons on the line too. For serious GOAT push he has to win at least one of next 2 majors.
