I somehow feel like Venus has a good chance in this match and could go far in this tournament. I think it might be her last such opportunity. Not sure why?

It'll probably be the 1st time I'll agree & hope for the same; if alone so I don't have to see anymore of Serena's hideous outfits! WOOF

Really interesting that ESPN just announced the time for the Venus/Serena match and I can't even find a Friday schedule anywhere, not even the U.S. Open site.

What in the choke job is Kerber doing? Serving for the match at 5-2, and lets Larssen come all the way back to 6-5

Going to a third for Kerber vs. Larssen.
This is wild. The match was locked up, Fed was ready to get to court and then Kerber forgot how to play!!!

That's how it is w/ some of these girls; even if they achieve top status at #1! You can turn to a match and see wretched tennis from them; like they hadn't held a racket in weeks! Kerber may very well come back, but when she looks this bad I won't watch! :nono:  :banghead:

This is clear proof that TV executives decide the prime time schedule, if anybody needed one.

They admit setting up prime time the way the viewership would determine it! Football started doing it years ago; actually changing match ups for PT late in a season if "contention" for the playoffs were being determined! :yesyes: :p  :ptennis:

Kerber losing would have destroyed my draw. Good she came through.

Tsurenko seems to have been taking this medical timeout forever.

They bring Sharapova on Ashe and she makes 5 double faults in one game. Tough to watch. What do the organizers really like about Sharapova?

She's box office! Sells tickets, puts bums on seats and brings in viewing figures... and she's a former champ.
