The commentators are speculating that maybe Roger's back is hurting him again. That certainly would explain the first serve issues.
That seems very plausible. He's really off.

I'm not sure why people think he's going to win this match. Once you choke away a set like that it's hard to get it back and he has a bad track record at righting the ship after choking like that.

He's alright but Roger would have probably lost already against a lot of other guys.
By a "dish," I mean handsome. Unlike some folks, I think you get to have an opinion, but I don't think that's what you meant.

Nah, this is all mental as a lot of this year's crazy losses have been. Roger is moving fine, he just chucked away the second set all on his own.

Ah, I see. I've never heard it put like that before. I thought you were saying his game is good.

Fed's first serve in % went up to 73% (so far in 3rd set) from 31% of second set.

It's called "Fedalovic depending on the Next Gen to donate matches to them" and so far they've been right 96% of the time! :nono:

I'll defer to you, but his serve pct is not great, nor is his timing.

.
Just looking at his face doesn't paint a good picture. Has that haunted look we've seen before.

The guy is coming up with good shots in the tight moments on serve. It does help when your opponent chokes away the second set like that but I will give this cupcake a bit of credit.

Roger's being reckless now coming into the net on absolute garbage approaches and is getting embarrassed at the moment!

Yeah but he was at 40-15 with set points while serving 30% in the second set. He just blew the set out of nowhere. When you blow a lot of sets/matches from overwhelming positions it becomes a frequent occurrence and that's what we are seeing here. IW, Miami, Halle and Wimbledon losses all had similar stories.

Well if he didn't blow that last set it'd probably be a couple games away from the win.

Roger just looks listless - not going for shots he'd normally go for.

He often ups his intensity at 3-3, so this game could be a good barometer of where he's at.

This shit is impossibly slow, that's fucking with Fed's mind too but at the end of the day he lost this match to an underwhelming journeyman in a 5 minute span. Now he is just going to torture himself and the rest of us for another hour or so.

Oh, again with the surface excuses for Roger. It's also hot and humid. That makes it play slow. And the players, too.
