This is your one stop thread to discuss projected, looming, impending and past upsets of 2017 Wimbledon. Primary purpose is however, to alert others about upsets as and when they are brewing so that people can catch it live.

It looks like there were two upsets today, not earthshaking though. ML Baroni lost to Carina.
Also, Vinci lost to Mini Pliskova.

While not upsets, I was hoping Laura Robson, Sabine Lisiciki and Eugene Bouchard would go little further. But, all of them flamed out in the first round itself.

Can we all acknowledge Genie is officially a bust?
I'm seeing her more in the news for bikini shots and magazine covers than winning.

Today I am tipping long-term slumper Jelena Jankovic to upset Agi Radwanska.

As many as five seeds went home today (so far). Pavly, K. Bertens, L. Davis, D. Gavrilova and S. Zhang.

I don't care for most of them, but was hoping Gavri would do well here.

I am predicting three upsets for Day 3. Vika to take out seeded Vesnina, Heather Watson to take out seeded Sevastova buoyed by home crowd support, finally, with less confidence, I expect Camila to take out Madison Keys in a battle between ball bashers.

Konta comes through 10-8, but Venus is probably going home. This offcourt stuff must really be affecting her. She is just pushing the ball today.

Yep, Q. Wang is controlling the baseline and is playing closer to the baseline more often.

Well Venus breaks to take the 2nd set 6-4, but she's still passive in the decider. We'll see.

And Osta is in trouble too. Down a set and now 3-1 in the 2nd set breaker to Abanda

Osta came back and won. I am proud of her. Easy to go out in the first round after winning RG as an unseeded player. But, she has already won two rounds. If she can live up to her seeding at Wimbledon, I would say that she would be a major force unlike Monica Puig and several other one time wonders.

Time to brag. I am 3 out of 3 in my upset calls of the day. However, there were three other upsets as well. Kvitova, CSN and Strycova all lost today in upsets. So far 13 seeds have gone home (2 on day 1, 5 on day 2 and 6 on day 3).

Petra K. It's a bummer, but really, I think it was too much to ask for someone who was seriously injured to be able to get match tough that quickly for a Major...

For day 4, I am projecting the Grass Aficionado Pironkova to take out Caroline Wozniacki. With less confidence, I also project Makarova to take out highly seeded Kuznetsova, in a battle of Russians.
