When it rains, it pours.

Add Svitolina to the list of upsets today.

I am really tired of Karolina Pliskova and Elina Svitolina. In every slam, I think may be they will do well this time. But, they repeatedly do not even live up to their seeding. :cover

Damn they are falling, Serena protect thee tomorrow.

I thought Serena was suppose to play today?

They changed the schedule and she will have to play back to back R2 and R3 on Fri and Sat.

Unfortunately, Wimbledon like the French Open is run by losers when it comes to scheduling matches.

It is battle ground. The body count is whopping eleven.

By the end of the day, 11 seeds fell today starting from #2 Garbine to ending in #32 Petokovic.

Day1 --- 2 seeds fell
Day2 --- 0 seeds fell
Day 3 --- 0 seeds fell
Day 4 --- 11 seeds fell

The first British girl to be seeded in a grand slam in the last 32 years, could not even make it to the top 32. I think they might perform better if they are put in smaller courts instead of in Center court.

Well home countries aren't the smartest at scheduling their players. You would think you would give their players a chance to play in a space where the atmosphere doesn't get to them as much.

Let us put Serena under upset alert. McHale is a set up. Nice TB and determination by Christina. :clap

On Day 5 there were no upsets, despite the fact that there was lot of drama in both Venus's and Serena's matches.

Also, I call for a similar day with no upsets for tomorrow, Saturday the Day 6.

If the Serena that showed up for the last 6.games of that 3rd appears for the next two weeks, she will win #22 very easily

Yeah but the chances of the Serena showing up for those last six games showing up consistently for the duration of this tournament are slim. She isn't making the necessary adjustments to her opponents at the right moments. She certainly isn't making the most of break point opportunities.

I hope Serena sees the way her draw could have been and the way it is shaping up as an opportunity and she fights for this tournament.
