WHAT THE HELL ?! I havent read the last 10 comments until now, so I can comment only now.

This is a VIRUS that effctes the ears inner canals and disables the balance system of the body.
Martina should shut up if she has no clue what it is. This illness is also called "Vertigo".
The moment I saw the video I knew FOR SURE that Serena suffers from that. Doctors know this illness, Martina does not. She is a disgrace for jumping to conclusions so fast.

When I had the Vertigo, I wanted to get out of bed after lying there for about 4 days and to just walk out in fresh air. When I went out, I had to lean on posts to avoid falling and lose my balance. I walked slowly and tried not to do anything in a rushed way.

Seriously, I know exactly where this mentality is coming from, so I will say one thing:
I am quite an old white male, and this type of white people disgust me. Martina, and Evert and all these types...
That is all and you all know what I mean.

Your going for a walk doesn't explain someone going onto a tennis court on international television looking like she was totally whacked! Did you see those serves? It was embarrassing for all concerned because it looked so bad! If you don't want assumptions made, you don't go on the court like that! Venus didn't seem too concerned for some reason! As the number one player in the world, she has a responsibility to the WTA, the fans, and everyone associated! Because of their history, she then felt compelled to go out there looking as if....well you tell me! I don't even smoke cigarettes! It just looked real bad; NUFF SAID!

Ahhhh, NO! :nono What I agree with is she brought this on herself because of her rotten history of playing when she feels like it! It didn't always have anything to do with illness, or something personal; she would just leave the tour! No other top player in my memory has acted this way; even if pregnant like Evonne or Kim! No one thought any thing of them taking time away, but Serena is making tv appearances, walking red carpets, and trying to establish a fashion line; she won't get the benefit of the doubt! Coming out like that will haunt her and be added to the list of other humiliating events we all know about at the USO! It's her own fault! :nono

I knew right away it was Vertigo, I have seen that same illness occur to a few folks but typically it happens to seniors. I hope with rest and proper medical care she can get her equilibrium back .

All things aside, I hope she rebounds for the US Open. I am a bit disturbed that her coach hadn't heard from her in 2 days, and he wasn't aware of his player's situation before she stepped on the court. It leads me to believe all is not well in Camp Serena.

Agree....at present,judging by that photo I dont think she is up to it,maybe that's where her PR should step in and give a clear update on Serena's health to Stop all the rumours,gossip and innuendo's.

No she does not it's between Serena, her Dr and family and no one else. Even is she gets more info out there they will say she is lying so why bother they will rebuke her whatever she says or do. I also read she will be playing in her tournament in Bastad (sp)

That tournament in Bastad is on clay isn't it? why would Serena play on clay,when the HC season is just around the corner.....even if her health allows her to compete.

Last year she played there, apparently as she got a hefty appearance fee. I doubt she will
do it again unless she gets a hefty appearance fee again. I doubt the tournament organizers
would want to pay huge fees again and again.
