Watched Ip Man 3 a few days ago. Big Donnie Yen fan and must say it was excellent. Great action as with all the Ip Man movies (even the ones without Donnie Yen are great too) but also great storyline and acting, especially from Donnie. Not sure there's a 3D bluray out anywhere and pretty gutted if it was a cinema only release for 3D 'cos you can tell looking at it that it was clearly made for 3D. Never watched a 3D martial arts film but some scenes even have some semi depth in the 2D version. Gonna keep hunting for a 3D version! Well worth watching anyway.

That's interesting, I didn't think that was made in 3D. I agree about the Ip Man films, I don't think I've seen one I didn't enjoy. And there's different types of them too. The Grandmaster was an Ip Man story, wasn't it? How was Iron Mike in it?

I was thinking of you the other day, buddy, I watched Jet Li, The One. Sheesh, I'll never get that time back again. The FX were great, but once I saw Jason Statham, I shoulda kicked the box to knock it off... :nono

Yeah, The Grandmaster is about Ip Man also. I thought Mike Tyson was pretty good in Ip Man 3 but it's hilarious when he speaks some Cantonese :laydownlaughing Definitely check it out. The One is a poor enough Jet Li film. Kiss of the dragon and Fearless Director's cut are two decent ones but he has lots of other good older ones too which no doubt you've seen a good few of like Romeo Must Die, Once upon a time in China 1-3 and part 6. He wasn't in 4 and 5.

I can imagine Tyson churning out some Cantonese: Flied lice, sucker! :snicker

There aren't many Jet Li films on Netflix, I already watched The One, and have no interest in The Expendables or War (another Jason Statham flick. Seriously, how does this bloke have a career?), but what about The Forbidden Kingdom, Martial Arts of Shaolin, or Unleashed? These any good?

^ Have them all but only watched Unleashed which I actually thought was good. They called it Danny The Dog in the US :Cover Bob Hoskins was good in that and some decent fight scenes. For a very good martial arts film I recommend Blood And Blood (2009) with Michael Jai White. Guy is badass.

Ah great, thanks, because the missus is heading away for a few nights next weekend so I like my diet of beers and takeaway and a few chop socky flicks. They don't have that Michael Jai White film on Netflix, but what about Falcon Rising?

You better start watching these films, buddy, no point me asking you if you haven't! :snicker.

I'll try Unleashed first next week. It gets a 7 on iMDB, which isn't shoddy... :hug

Haven't watched Falcon Rising yet but flicked through it and looks decent. I love Jai White's deep menacing voice, he's class.

Some great fight scenes in that. Can't go wrong with Dolph Lundgren, Michael Jai White and Tony Jaa. Jai White is an incredible martial artist. 7 black belts in Tang Soo Do, Wushu, Kyokushin, Shotokan, Tae Kwon Do, Kobudo and Goju Ryu.

They're after filming another Bourne movie with Matt Damon. Now, much as I enjoyed the first 3 (the last 2nd and 3rd are basically inferior remakes of the first film), I think this one looks like yest another remake of the first film. The usual types are there, with Tommy lee Jones drafted in to replace the Brian Cox character. I'm a little dubious about it...

It's an action hero flick with a diff, right? I'll check it out when it comes in DVD.

I binged on the last two Superman films, thought they weren't as bad as I expected, although Batman v Superman is very messy and cluttered. We don't need to see the Dark Knight's back story every film, and Doomsday is a film in itself, but was tacked onto the last 30 minutes here because they seemed at a loss as to who their villain should be. Jesse Eisenberg was hopelessly miscast as Lex Luther. It's kinda like the mistake the TV show Sherlock made when casting Moriarty - they sent a kid to do a man's job. Lex Luther and Moriarty are evil geniuses, not angry teenagers with skin issues.

I watched Avengers, Age of Ultron too. My brother told me before I watched that it was the weakest Marvel film, but I enjoyed that too. I must be easily pleased. The Marvel films are the ultimate in lightweight entertainment. Kids can watch them too (although not Deadpool, according to Murat :snicker ), and this was no exception.

Gonna watch Jurassic World later... :popcorn

Captain America Civil War reviews are extremely positive!! I expect it will be the blockbuster of this year like The Force Awaken was in 2015/2016

Spoilers Alerts;

The movie is phenomenal, best Marvel movie by Far, Storylines are fantastic and action sequences are on par with the first Avengers movie. Four Stars ALL the way

No, but I like all that kind of stuff... Will check that one out. Let me know what you think.

It's thought provoking. Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a great job of portraying a conscientious human being in a ruthless world of politics. I recommend it. Since I already watched a documentary about him, some things were familiar. Oliver Stone can make anybody step back and think about different issues. Love his work.

And the seats in our new cinema are fabulous, like those in business class on airplanes.:)

I'll check that one out. I saw Briget Jones's baby with the Missus a couple of days ago. Quite enjoyed it, although I was about the only fella there.

Kudos to you for being the only man watching Bridget Jones Baby,I recently saw it,I also enjoyed it.I went and saw 'Sully' the Tom Hanks film,a few people raved about the film, stating that Tom Hanks would get a Best Actor nominee? hmmm it was okay, maybe I was expecting more.
