Nadal was like do I have a hole in my racket and that Li Na ball went to moon :D
Lol. I thought they had lots of holes in their racquets as they're strung in a lattice-shape like some posh apple pie tops or apple pies made by stingy people or those who've run out of pastry. Lol. (We don't make apple pies like that. We have full tops & make ours fancy by cutting apple, apple stalk & leaf shapes out of pastry & sticking them on the top in the centre with egg yolk before varnishing them with egg yolk & putting them in the oven. When they come out, they're nice & brown & taste lovely.)

I thought this was funny - from the Times.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.

No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
  • Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
  • Why the early bird gets the worm;
  • Life isn't always fair;
  • And maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death,
  • by his parents, Truth and Trust,
  • by his wife, Discretion,
  • by his daughter, Responsibility,
  • and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 5 stepchildren;
  • I Know My Rights
  • I Want It Now
  • Someone Else Is To Blame
  • I'm A Victim
  • Pay me for Doing Nothing
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing

I'm very sorry I made you hungry. That pizza sounded nice. I just went on a course then looked round town & ended up in a bar for a latte & carrot cake. I watched the Djokovich match while having my latte & carrot cake. The sound was off & there was a pianist. He started playing leaning on a lamp-post so I started singing. I ended up singing Cliff Richard songs while watching the match too. I've really enjoyed myself.

Lol. Thank you very much for posting this.

Watching some of these tennis-players reminded me of 3 as a teenager when my serve was rather too high & flew over the fence into the cricket pavilion next door. Twice there was a cricket match on so I had to go & ask the cricketers if I could have my ball back. These were just odd occurrences though as I was normally brilliant at service but not good at returning.

I've been to a festival of the moon exhibition today. They're having it to celebrate it being 50 years since Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. There is lots of good art & the sculpture of the moon is very realistic. It's so good. I really enjoyed myself.

It was. They played moon-related music too.

Edit: I've just watched the videos you shared on the moon landings. I'm too young to remember them personally but it must have been like something out of sci-fi novels to see someone walk on the moon for the 1st time. I've watched footage before. I guess it got lots of viewers. Some of them would have thought this isn't happening/going to happen so it must have been unbelievable at the time. I can only imagine what people thought at the time though as I wasn't around then. Thank you very much for the videos.

I also went to a moon landing exhibition. I guess there are quite a few happening.
The one I attended was at the Queensland Museum, Brisbane and quite good.

Usually at these kind of events, the focus is on Neil Armstrong and to a lesser extent Buzz. This exhibition paid more attention to the wider team and journey. It was interesting to find out more about guys such as Michael Collins.

The exhibition you went to sounds good.

I've never been to 1 before but decided to go in while I was out & about doing other things. I've noticed Buzz Aldrin normally takes a back seat while Neil Armstrong gets all the credit. The exhibition I went to focussed on the moon itself & the people who have been to the moon since like Helen Scharma. It was a mainly arts & classical-music based exhibition.

Before I forget and log off and go to bed, I want to say I am extremely happy and excited to have found and joined this Tennis forum tonight. I want to thank everyone who have made my first evening here a special one and made me feel like one crowd. I really appreciate that. I look forward to talking more tennis with everyone here. Thanks again.

This was fun. All of the phrases sounded too bizarre at first so I imagined hearing goose instead of juice, so for me it went "when the score is deuce, goose gets loose". It is probably because a few days ago I was talking how the goose sprayed fat all over our oven the last Christmas and made it hard to clean later. That goose is still hunting me :) Lovely meat though.
