They milked Star wars back in the old days by having a second fillum. Should have left it at one...

I thought the Empire Strikes Back was a great sequel and out of all the films probably had the best dialogue.

A little dark but atmospheric. I think Star Wars jumped the shark when those Ewoks were killing stormtroopers in Return of the Jedi.

I agree. And then it kind of became some senseless epic franchise with blokes of a certain age losing their marbles making swish noises in boozers when they greeted each other. Nowadays, they don't know when to let a good thing go (Hollywood that is, not geezers in pubs). It's like the Matrix: great first film, second was much lesser and the third was WTF bad...

Anyone else having trouble with their cable provider and the Tennis Channel? Just found out today that Verizon is screwing around with TC yet again, so I can't watch any tennis today. :(

I had to upgrade my services, but that won't go into effect until tomorrow.

Don't know mate, but if you sign up with Bet365 and stick $10 in your account you can get good live streaming.

Thanks for the advice. :)

Are you able to get live tennis coverage on TV for events like Madrid in Australia?

I watch it on stream. In the UK I used to get them all on either Sky or Eurosport. I can get Eurosport here, but it's not British Eurosport and most of it's cycling. Foxtel is the Sky equivalent but tennis coverage is crap outside the majors. I've used Bet365 to cover me for masters tournaments so far.

Espn3.com is free through a lot of internet providers in the states and has much higher quality streams. That is what I use almost exclusively.

Thank you! I hadn't even thought of them, because I had no idea ESPN had the rights, since it's all Tennis Channel in terms of TV coverage.

But I'm watching ESPN now! :)

They even have coverage of a lot of the atp 500s from about the quarters to the final.

This is great to know. Thanks again.

And in case anyone is wondering, the quality was terrific, so it's worth trying if you need to watch online.

Looks like Alex Ferguson has retired as manager of Man United. Not a fan, but you've got to respect his huge achievements in the game.

Immense. He spent a lot too, mind, but he's been the default setting in English football for decades. In football terms, he's created how many truly great teams?

3 or 4 great United teams. Don't forget his tenure at Aberdeen either - where they won the Scots prem a few times and the European Cup Winners Cup - punching way above their weight.

Never liked the guy but his track record is immense.

Absolutely.

2 European Cups isn't a huge return, by the way, Sir Bob Paisley trumped it in a short space...oh wait, they don't make Liverpool men 'Sirs'.

But still, he's had an iron grip on the game and seen off all rivals, and his attitude is second to nobody...

I wonder who will be his replacement. They say Moyes, I would like to see Mourinho there. They seem to have simular characters, don't really like them though.

The 1999 Champions League final was my best memory with Furgeson as a coach. Munich 1-0 up in extra time, Kaiser Franz on his way to the elevator to pick up the cup, arrives at the field to see United win. :D

Moyes is favourite but it reminds me of when Mike Walker moved from Norwich to Everton. Everton back then were a 'big club.' Now they're not really, if we think of big clubs as winning things. Moyes is at his level, and I think he'll be the next Mike Walker if he upgrades to Man U...

Yeah, it's not going to be easy to replace Ferguson, I wonder if he will return as soon as they sack his replacement. Ferguson might be the next Guy Roux.
