No. I did not subscribe to Disney Plus, opting to wait for the DVD / Blu Ray physical release. That seems to have gone quiet, however.
I haven’t heard anything about Blu-Ray release. That could be a long way off. I was able to get a one-month trial subscription for Disney+ for a few dollars in the US. I’ll cancel it soon, then wait for the discs.

And what were the highlights of the "Get Back" you like?

As you’ve probably read many times already, it does paint a different picture of the band. It has been probably 20 years since I last watched the original documentary, so this felt new in many ways.

It was awesome to see the rooftop concert in its entirety for the first time. This production shows it through multiple cameras, which the original version did not. The quality of the image and sound is fantastic. Peter Jackson did an excellent job.

I got a laugh out of the near-panic they were in, trying to write new songs for a concert. They must have played parts of nearly every song on Abbey Road, yet kept saying they needed new songs. I wanted to scream at the TV, “You’ve got an entire album right in front of you!” :face-with-tears-of-joy:

And no, Yoko did not break up the Beatles. She’s an odd presence, just sitting there reading the newspaper or going through her mail, but she’s not intrusive.

I agree with you regarding Yoko Ono. Never once it crossed my mind she had anything to do with the Beatles breaking up. Even 42 years ago when i first became a fan.

If you get into YouTube, there's a number of small snippets from "Get Back". One that i like is where Mal Evans, longtime friend and road manager, tells Lennon and McCartney "It was Elvis (34th) Birthday" to which Lennon says "I'm catching up to him".
Sadly Evans (who looks like Lennon) was later shot and killed in front of his home in the U.S. in 1976, also aged 40.

Wow! I didn’t know that. What an awful coincidence.

I have to ask the question, are you like me, a Beatles hard core fan who loves everything they waxed, alternate takes and mixes, etc or you hold a interest on a specific era, like post 1966 - 1970 years?

For me, the Beatles are all about Revolver through Abbey Road/Let It Be. If I never hear “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” again, I’ll be fine.

I don't like everything Beatles but I don't like specific eras. I like the music of theirs that I like the sound of & doesn't have weird lyrics.

yeah same here, along with the song "She Love You" are two Beatles songs i can live without. Strangely enough on sunday, i was playing the germen/ deutch version of I Want to Hold Your Hand , which i have not touched for a number of years.
