big kokk is now 98 in the world rank charts.

Weird Al Zverev just snuck into the top 100 in the live rankings, although we will see if that holds. But that is ow three in the top 100, four young uns if we count Kyrgios.

Redo your math. Without Kyrgios and Zverev (not counting him until he makes it in reality), are already 3: Coric, Chung and Kokkinakis. With Zverev and without Kyrgios will be 4.
Kyrgios is 20, technically not a teenager.

Verdasvo beat Chung recently, and had good things to say about his game. Incidentally, his name is pronounced Jung. Koreans have a bad habit of misspelling when translating Korean to English.

Zverev joined the club: Coric, Chung and Kokkinakis.
4 teenagers now in the top 100.
First time in 7 years that they are this many.

I can't believe I'm applauding this, but ...

:clap :woohoos

Even though there are only four, it's a great sign since it's the first time in seven years.

Thanks for pointing this out, Herios.

Rublev is someone to keep our eyes on.

Also, its worth mentioning that Frances Tiafoe has made his way into the top 300. He's actually #144 in the Race to London rankings and has been going deep in Challengers and actually won a Futures event back in March.

Here's the live ATP Race rankings in the top 200 for teenagers:
38. Chung
52. Coric
53. Kokkinakis
103. Zverev
117. Donaldson
123. Rublev
140. Tiafoe
150. Nishioka
161. Djere
166. Ymer
184. Halys
190. Jarry
191. Khachanov
199. Novak

Christian Garin is #244 - he hasn't quite developed as hoped.

Chung lost badly in FO quals to an American ranked 150. Rather surprising.

Tiafoe has such funky mechanics. I am skeptical about his success on the main tour.

I mentioned Chung's beat down on the FO thread. For me it is not a surprise, considering how badly he strategized his events.
He played 3 weeks in a row on HC challengers making all 3 finals, then flies overseas to play on clay in the Slam. He was tired and probably jetlagged.
Him or his coach need to think twice.
About Tafoe, well, he is too green. To early to come to conclusions. But I am not not expert and have not seem him play just a little once.
Good he got a WC, but based ion his results in Nice, he will not do much at RG.

Can someone explain to me, what are these high expectations regarding Garin? What did he do to justify them?

I honestly don't know. I just remember him being mentioned a couple years ago whenever future possible stars were brought up.

I checked him out, perhaps because he was a RG champion in juniors.
That does not always translate in future big tennis player.
See Andrey Kuznetsov for example, he also won the RG junior title and he is just at the bottom of the top 100 for years by now.
By the way, Garin lost in the R1 in qualifications. His results this year are underwhelming.

Coric is ranked 46! Broke into the top 50. Also winning the first round should take him up a few more spots. I don't expect him to beat Robredo though in the second round.

Congrats to Kokkinakis, who beat Tomic in a nail-biting five-setter to make it to the 3R of Roland Garros. Unfortunately he'll face the immovable object known as Novak Djokovic.

Anyhow, his win today takes him from #77 to #68 in the live rankings.

Congrats to Borna, for a great victory over Tommy Robredo. He now jumps up to #40 in the live rankings.

With Borna's win over Donald Young today, he sneaks into the top 40 - he's at #38 in the live rankings.

Alex Zverev is also steadily moving up - he beat Jarkko Nieminen and is now #74. Zverev has really been playing well recently - I think he's gone up something like 50 ranks this year.

When you posted this, you looked up Zverev on the LIVE ranking, and that is not actually correct, because it is never officially validated until the end of each week, when ATP releases them.
Zverev managed to get to #74, eventually, after two more weeks on June 29 ranking release.
