I don't think so, she is 31 years old and already played 4 matches here, two of them gruelling 3 setters....

But this is a good one, it's the battle of 31 year olds.
Old Dinosurs!!

Go JJ! I hope Jelena will win Stutgart. It would be great for her confidence.

Updates here:
Angie beats Pavly in straights, hands a bagle to Nastia in the first set to top it off, nice way to get out of her slump, it's good to play in your home-country.

The battle of 31 year olds is over, Li Na got it done 1 and 2, she is into the 3rd round.

Petra and Julia are next. H2H is all even 1-1
Should be an interesting day.

Hi, my name is Petra Kvitova, and I have the game to be a pain in the ass to any player, but mostly, I am a pain in my own ass.
Oh my,
How true is that today!

Congrats to Ivanovic, she has had some good quality wins as of late. She just needs to start beating up on some higher ranked players on a consistent basis again.

Also, Petra hate the top!

She is about the worst on the tour with her outfits, only Kimmy had her beat when she was active.

Sundaymorningguy, you are about to turn pro!

Masha and Lucie started.
Masha gets the first break, she had 6 break chances.

Petra's coach and Petra are watching from the stands.

Oh my the Ms. Safarova is making quite a match of this with Masha. The Petra and Li match is interesting as they have both split wins on the clay. If Petra wants to be brought into the clay conversation this year taking out Na Li would be a great way to do so.

Even more so now that Lucie won the second set tie breaker and now all tied 2-2 in the decider.
Lucie is tough, she doesn't back-up against anyone.
This is the best match of the day.

Wow that was a bit of a scare! - My heart is still pumping not to speak of all the adrenaline still flooding through my veins - That sure was a hard fought victory and it doesn't look good for the remaining matches unless she steps it up considerably in the next match vs Ana Ivanovic else Masha will be out in the QF already

For now - a sigh of relief and a little smile on my face :)

It was her first claycourt match of the season and her first match on any surface in almost a month. She was probably a bit rusty. I hope she won't have to play another long one tomorrow. ;)

JJ is gone.
Sabine Bombed her with 11 aces and beat JJ in straights.

BMS got rid of Sara, handing her a bagel and a breadstick!
Sara is the highest seed to fall.
We have an American in the last 8! Two Germans, one Russian, one Kazak, one Serb, one Czech and a Chinese. That rounds it up.

Must say it was an interesting day yesterday with some long matches:

Sharapova had to fight for almost 3h 10 m - in a brilliant fight
Lisicki won after bombing out JJ in straights - 2h 2 m
Kvitova battled through on the brink of losing to Goerges - 2h 16m
BMS erased Errani (get it:)) with a bagel and a breadstick - or as they say in golf a club and balls (sorry).

Well last battle I dropped because it went far beyond midnight and I'h got enough tennis for one day - but well done ladies, hope you've saved something for today.:)
