What a choke by Caro on the break point when she had it all lined up nicely

Good on Serena! She has to work on maintaining her aggression in the off season. These waves of aggression and passivity aren't going to cut it if Serena is gunning to get as many majors as she can next year.

Well same ending.

But, at least a high quality second and third sets.

Now, I am ready to give the trophy to Serena independent of who she faces in the F.

Yikes, this has to be a heartbreaking loss for Woz.

Yes, she did the best she could. Sorry for Caro, I'ld have loved to see her win

This sure is a bad loss for Caro considering the opportunities she had.

She had a chance to serve it out in the 3rd set.

She had a mini break up, gave it, then went double min break up and gave both back in tb

I will say with a bit of work in the off season Caro can get to that next level to win a major. She took Serena to the brink and took out Maria and Petra here, so with some luck and hard work in the off season she could be holding a trophy next year.

Congratulations to Serena.

She showed once again why she is a champ. Resurrecting herself again and again from
difficult situations.

Now, I think she will do it in straight sets on sunday.

I agree, although she's not so mentally tough as she was in her pomp, I think she'll face Halep and Halep won't be so smart as she was the other day, while Serena will hang tough...

There is an odd stat which says that whoever wins the 7th game in this kind of situations wins
the match. I don't know how much of it is true though.

Do you mean the seventh game in the deciding set?

Yes, but it is just a statistical correlation. No cause and effect.

Sure, that's what I figured you meant. It's interesting anyway.
