Wow, I was hoping for Nole to have a chance to catch up on the h2h with Ralf, but it seems that DP is taking him to task. :(

Looks like Nadal can prepare himself for the indoor season.

IF Del Potro wins, he will be closing in to Ferrer for the No 4 spot. I doubt Ferrer will defend his Paris title.

I'd never write Rafa off in a match but apart from the obvious reason, I'd love him to turn this one round so Cali can go apoplectic with fury at the Gnat! :Lolz:

But I like del Potro and it sounds like you're all enjoying a magnificent display of bish-bang tennis...

Hopefully the Naderer h2h is added to at Basel.

As badly as Fed has played all year he played his best match of the year probably against Nadal at Cincy. That was outdoor where the FH to BH spin still works. It doesn't indoors so it's a bit early to get cocky. You should be more concerned with Nadal getting adequate practice on his worst surface and his opponent here is the defending champion at Basel and in blistering form. Del Potro is gonna be a top contender at the WTF now too.

I can't come close to guaranteeing that Ferrer will lose Paris. Del Potro, Nadal, Djokovic may all be a bit tired by then, and with an eye on the WTF.

Yeah I give him 0% chance of defending personally. Feel bad for Janowicz with his back problems. Is he gonna be playing Paris? He's defending a ton of points there. I think he's meant to be playing but hasn't played in ages so he's not gonna be in form anyway.

I think JW and Monfils will be in fine form for Paris even if the top dogs are tired.

Another double fault for Nadal. If there is one player you don't to call a match against prematurely, its Nadal. But I am doing it anyway.

Yes Monfils looks awesome, and it'll be his last tournament of the year.

If that was his best match of the year he has been even more God awful than I thought. I don't think indoors will bring about a magical resurrection but you never know. If Fed was to meet Rafa it'd be in semis or later, and I wouldn't bet a dime on Roger making the semis of a tournament these days.

Delpo has played well. It has been a match where Rafael has hard time penetrating Juan's game.

It's one break and Rafa has had break points in nearly every DP game this set. This one isn't over. Especially when you know what's going to happen if Nadal comes back and wins this set.

Was watching a clip of Nadal against Roddick where he hit his knee at the change of ends only to later fist pump in no apparent discomfort on one knee. He's a beaut. I'll find it later.

I've never been concerned about Nadal's indoor practice. He didn't need special indoor results prior to the 2010 World Tour Finals, made the final there (and took out Djokovic and Murray) and took a set from Federer in that final. Nadal is ready to take the World Tour Finals crown.
