Nole is the Rocky Balboa of tennis - you just can't put him down.
Not this time Dude. Down goes Nole! Down goes Nole!

At least in terms of the contrast. That's what I miss from the old times

And the old guy still leads the h2h and by a larger margin now. 19-17.

It's inevitable that Novak will overtake him, but it's really something to see him raging against the dying of the light

This is what tennis is supposed to be. Deft touches and excellent net play from both players.

A clean match too. Both players had positive differentials, Novak +7 and Roger +12.

That's got to be the best he has played from the baseline in a very long time. Great serving and I thought Roger returned the first serve very well today as well. Not a single break point chance for Nole in 2 sets, that doesn't happen every day.

The final question is what does Simon say?

Does he have a say in this?
You have to give him a chance because he's defeated Fed before, but I think Rog will be extra motivated tomorrow since he's never won this title and a chance to get back to #1

He defended the 2nd serve particularly well and that really made the difference.
