The Tournament:

The Rotterdam Open (also known by it sponsored name ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament) is a professional men's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It is part of the 500 series of the ATP World Tour and has been held annually at the Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

About Rotterdam:

Rotterdam is a city and municipality in the Netherlands. It is the second-largest Dutch city after the capital Amsterdam, and is located in the province of South Holland, at the mouth of the Nieuwe Maas channel leading into the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta at the North Sea. Its history goes back to 1270, when a dam was constructed in the Rotte, after which people settled around it for safety. In 1340, Rotterdam was granted city rights by the Count of Holland. The Rotterdam–The Hague metropolitan area, with a population of approximately 2.7 million, is the 13th-largest in the European Union and the most populous in the country. Located in the west of the Netherlands, Rotterdam is in the centre of the Rijnmond conurbation and lies at the southwest corner of the larger Randstad conurbation.

Nice field here. Only Sasha and Thiem are missing from notable non-big-3 members.

FAA beat Struff in 3; RBA beat Fucsovic in 3; KK and Rublev won handily (KK over the Fog.)

And yet, the Greek hero won!

OMG, here we go; the decline! Medvedev's struggling to get past one of those Canadian hotties; Pospisil! He's down a set & a break; Vasek to serve for it! :rip: - Edit: It's over! #1 seed Daniil is out in the first round! He'll remain #5 in the world!

I watched some. Pospisil played really well, returning past 6 mos. from back surgery, apparently. Medvedev made a lot of errors. (PS: How Canadian is this? Pospisil sips maple syrup from the bottle on changeovers. :face-with-tears-of-joy:)

Commies said a bit of both. I only saw 2nd set. One especially poor service game from Daniil, but Pospisil was really sharp. Plus all the doubles he plays, he's good at the net. And serving great. Only lost 5 points on serve in the second set, I think they said.

Do you know if it’s a fast HC in Rotterdam?

That sounds good. Has a good run the last weeks.
