Grigor's been playing quite well the last few months! It should have been a straight set win by him over Carlos, but he stumbled as most players do these days! I still appreciate his effort knocking out Alcaraz to strengthen Novak's hold on #1! After he gets to 400 weeks, Carlos may take over the mantle as top dog in this era of tennis!
That and I honestly think he's a little tired. That RG meltdown and Wimby win has really exhausted him mentally. His game is all over the place. He doesn't have anything to defend. I know he won't do this, but he should just call it a season and take a much needed break to refresh and do what you said recapture his love for the game again.
I just alluded to this on another thread…. He’s now expected to win every match he plays, at the very least he is favored to win every one. He’s growing into this and doing well. In my opinion, it’s time for Carlos to wean himself of the constant input from Ferrero. I honestly believe it causes him to lose concentration. Today it honestly seemed like a distraction. Any thoughts?

The Serb had it, but didn't punch away that volley in the 2nd set TB! The match was up for grabs after that! It was heroic taking it to 5 sets IMO, but more satisfied Novak stopped Carlos in Paris! That was worth more to his resume! He has a triple CGS now; again setting himself apart from Fedal! Everything's gravy from here on out!

Rublev can hit TP (not toilet paper) off the court and usually does. I like the way he has moved from crazy to controlled crazy. I don’t know if he has the composure to win a slam yet, but it’s almost as fun to watch him hit the ball as it listening to his rants.
