I'm hoping for Medvedev to keep going because I don't like to see him continuing to struggle, though I'm happy for either.
Humbert, please take out Raonic!
Carreño Busta could give Rafa trouble. He does well on HC.
I'd like to see Zverev come through.

Rafa has been going for his serves. If he is able to synchronize his dtl FH, his results on the indoor surface may resemble his results on the clay.

Honestly Rafa you do like us to 'suffer'...............................................

This is the reason I have so little regard for Nadal being the GOAT! A player can be ranked 207 and take Rafa to the limit! He allows this nonsense even with teammates from Spain he owns! It's ridiculous which IMO has contributed to his physical breakdown over the years! He has to work too hard from round 1 on! :face-with-head-bandage:

This is Nadal’s first tournament on Hardcourts since play restarted, he’s been practising and playing on clay for months before. So it’s normal that he still hasn’t found his rhythm yet on hardcourt/indoors but he’s still doing well. His level of play will improve more and more.

Rersults of Q/finals so far,

My Popcorn match turned out to be a fizzer in a way, though Medvedev played a great match and just too strong for Schwartzman 63 61.
M.Raonic d U.Humbert 63 36 76(7)
R.Nadal d P.Carreno Busta 46 75 61.
A.Zverev d S.Wawrinka 63 76 (1)

I was thinking that this Zverev/Wawrinka one could be good. Didn't expect to "suffer" so much during the Rafa match, though. He definitely didn't have his A game today, but he got it done.

He's still going, aged 34, that's not too bad. And it's one thing to drag out a match, but the important thing is the W. I'm very happy with rafa at this event, because he's getting invaluable practice in for the old WhatTheFeck in London...
