It looks like we will have a rematch of last year's Quarterfinals between Nadal and Ferrer. It will be interesting to see on how Nadal plays against Ferrer this time around.

Also, it looks Cilic is slowly starting to get his form back. We will see on how he fares against Djokovic tomorrow.

Cilic and Novak live in Montecarlo so both probably know pretty well that court
If I remember well Cilic doesn't have good results on clay except to reach once the third round in a RG and after that suppressive win in the USO I don't see him playing so well (Tsonga even worse) so I expect an easy win by Novak

I did not see Milos match, but I am hearing he has a foot injury. According to those who watched, he had an injury timeout, having his metatarsal wrapped (apparently the injury is not new) at the beginning of the first set.
Despite that he battled through. This could mean that he will not be able to battle Tomas Berdych on even terms. Too bad. He leads the H2H with him 3-1.

Djokovic-Cilic H2H - Djokovic leads 11-0!

This match-up is really bad for Cilic. Not that anyone is matching up well to Nole at the moment!

Grigor versus Gael could be very entertaining if they both play well. A chance for Grigor to attempt to erase memories of their USO match last year - that match was an absolute horror show from Grigor mentally.

Ferrer on clay will be a good test for Nadal.

Honestly surprised to see Cilic beat Tsonga. I continue to look down on this guy and probably always will. Djoko will have no problems.

Go Monfils! I love his line of pajama wear. Looks comfy.

Berdych-Raonic is most interesting for me. Since this is on clay, advantage Berdych?

Robredo's no slouch and Raonic took him out in 3! This shouldn't be a cakewalk for Berdych IMO! :popcorn

Nadal took 3 to finish Isner, but that's not a shock. Remember that Big John is the only guy besides Djokovic to take Rafa to 5 at RG. It's the serve, in great part, but Isner has also beaten Roger on clay. He's no slouch there. Anyway, Nadal keeps his clean record against the big-serving American, so that's a good test passed. :)

On paper, Raonic should be the favorite. He is leading Tomas in the H2H by 3-1, also Milos had the better results on clay last year.
The problem is right now, Milos plays with a toe injury, that could hamper his play.
And as far as today, Milos has built a 4:0 against Robredo with today's match. Just saying.

Not to upset with an early loss here from Roger. The worst thing he can do for RG is go deep at all 4 tournaments he is scheduled to play beforehand. And the worst thing he can do for Wimbledon is go deep at all of these warm-up tournaments, RG, and Halle. If Roger wins Istanbul and Madrid (or at least gets to the final of Madrid), and then goes down early in Rome I'd be plenty OK with that.

I posted in the "Roger's schedule" thread; it appears that Rog may drop out of Rome, if he goes deep in both Istanbul and Madrid.

Got up to watch Berdych v. Raonic, and was rewarded by seeing Berdy get a break. Cloudy and overcast... Berdy up two breaks in the first set.

On the changeover, the trainer comes out and Milos retires due to a dodgy foot..

Wow, Raonic retires with a foot problem. Says he can't push off on it. Berdych advances to the semis!

I said yesterday that Milos has a foot injury. He is better if he stays put and gets healed because the clay season is long, it just started.
He was scheduled to play also next week in Barcelona, I hope he does not go and gets ready for Madrid instead.

Meanwhile, is Gael cleaning the court with Grigor?
