This is what Novak has said to the press after his racket nearly hit a line judge..........
Lucky that didn't hit the line judge or he'd be out of the tournament.
The weather is crappy and cold. Stopping and starting matches, and he's got a lot of pressure. But he is going to have to hold it together better than that. He did win the match in straight sets.
Aside from Novak, it would have been bad for tennis, and a source for the never-ending, dreaded *asterisk.* B-)Yes, I know... might be a bit of a wake up call for Novak. The last thing anybody wants is a disqualification for something so silly, even though it would have been unintentional.
That's a fair point about Murray being more "tough than good" so far. But Andy is more clutch than Stan. @mrzz's "IF" is a not inconsiderable one. Stan's got more pressure, and you never know where that will take him.^ I think the same thing on this surface at least. Murray has been "tough" more than he has been good so far this tourney. Stan seems to have rounded into form after the 1st round where Rosol almost knocked him out. I like Stan in 4 for this one.
For the other one you got to go with Djoker. Maybe it goes 4 but straights is most likely. It is Thiem's first GS semifinal, he is probably a year away from being a serious contender to start winning slams.

Fair point. Nothing to do now but see how it goes.I'd say the pressure is similar for both of them. And at the late junctures of the slams Stan has been the clutcher of the two players the past couple years. Stan has some awful losses in early rounds but this is where he usually steps up and plays great.
