Wow, so many interesting matches. i don't know why Stepanek ended up on court 17 even though he is playing an Aussie junior. berdych vs Monfils may be something special.

I agree. It could easily become the match of the day, if not the upset of the day.

I don't know if Gael is ready to dismiss someone of Berd's caliber. He didn't look good in the Nice final.

Exactly my thought. Gael on paper seems dangerous, but he is still far from when he was before falling through the rankings.

Brands keeping his composure to save 2 break points. He has a good serve, and a forehand.

He and Kohlschreiber have two of the more odd serving motions around

That's true..also Brands looks like he can easily add 15-20 Ks to the speed of his serve, but holding back to pick his spots.

That's a new one. Rafa broken, with a double fault. This is where he probably breaks back, otherwise first set gone.

The set is gone. He has the type of game, which can trouble Rafa.

Yes, like Soderling and Gulbis.

Unless your name is Djokovic. He matches him in defence and dominates rallies, not just smashing the ball and going for big winners.

I think Rafa will wear him out though.

Benneteau drops the 3rd set. That one figured to be tight and judging by the scoreline it has been.

Wish I wasn't at work. I had a feeling Brands would give Nadal a tough match. Doubt Nadal is enjoying the weather much. Can't view streams at work either :/

Cahill is right, Brands should have accomplished more in his career than he did, with the type of game he has. He spent most of it, outside of the top 100, and he is already 25 y old.
